am i the only one thats thinks its kinda disapointing that you are abled to beat very hard while making quite some big mistakes?

is the entire game this easy? or is this one of the easier battles?

I wiped out Tokugawa's cavalry with my yari and most of his samurai with my katana cavalry in flanking moves on the main field, using my samurai from the far right as a distraction. To the left, Tokugawa advanced piecemeal, so that was a cakewalk. I had already beaten Tokugawa by the time Hideaki betrayed me, so I redeployed on the anterior of the river, and wore his forces down with my bowmen while holding the fords with my samurai and yari. However, I never utilised the green faction.

To beat Hideaki, I just move my two Katana units that are deployed near his troops, next to him so I slaughter him. Hold up his units so I don't have Tokugawa and Hideaki at the same time. GG though, this was helpful to making my strategy. :D

really good game, this game is much more strategic than any other RTS that I've played. That definitely includes Starcraft 2, which is not nearly as strategic as this game. GG

The cavalry is vital for succeeding with my tactic.

Then, when Hideaki comes, deploy your army on the hill (where you deployed your left flank originally), and use the exact same strategy as earlier.

Almost the same tactic as D|movieproductions, though it has been slightly variated with one of Napoléon's tactics.

Deploy your left flank on the hill, then use your main army to deploy where Tokugawa will attack. You should then place the infantry in front, archers behind and cavalry on left flank (both the armies).

Then, send your left flank's cavalry behind the forces attacking you as they are engaged with your infantry. Then they will quickly get beaten. You can then send your left flank towards the middle and right flank, and then, you will be able to defeat Tokugawa...

@Raellz that wont work because that way Hideaki will enter battle before you can kill Tokugawa's troops. You face two armies at once then.

@dmovieproduction it works.hes right cause i tried it and it worked.Another way that worked for me was the hammer and the anvil strategy.You got 5 katana cavalry,so use them as the hammer to drive your enemy and hit them where the anvil/infantry is.Its very offensive and risky but it works. ;)

i tryed beating sekigahara even on easy and i still loss but still this is a great way but still its kinda hard a little bit when your allys dont move and when your being betraid

the key to success: send ALL of your troops to the hill that your middle force stands on ASAP. the archers slightly behind all of you infantry. if you sit there, and let them come to you, you'll win every time. and your cavalry--send them to attack any matchlock samurai or bowmen that the enemy has, and then send them to kill the enemy general way back there. if you still have some cav left, bring them back to your main force to help out, but make sure you dismount them cuz of the spears. sex

early attack in my opinion is a better way to do this since the other guy joins the battle only later if you attack them while they are crossing the river and send a cav to kill the gen you can win this battle with vey little losses
