towards the end i was expectin and raging demon vs forbidden shoryuken. im sure gouken was goin for that.

AxxesS only rarely throws the Forbidden, and when he does, it's by accident when he's going for the Shin. Gouken's overall game just doesn't lend itself well to letting that much meter build up. He needs his EX moves too much.

Though there are very few good Gouken players out there, one thing that is widely understood is that his EX catalog may very well be the best in the game, and is really the only reason he is competitive at all. Any time he can guarantee the ultra, he should, but his super is a waste of meter compared to the mileage he would get out of said meter by spending it on intelligently-selected EX specials and EXFCs.

i agree, just par for the course i've seena lot of better G1 matches just look at MirroR chen 's gouken on youtube. all akuma did was the same combo and landed a few lucky raging demons nothing special

One thing that needs to be pointed out here is that this match and the rest of AxxesS' "round 2" set were played out five months ago. We've both improved quite a bit since then, and we plan on recording another set in short order to show how we've progressed.

I would also contend that any successful demon is a lucky one. As for the combo, it's the only one I knew at the time, but I've added some to my arsenal since these videos were shot.
