They say the Quran is full of wisdom that no illiterate Arab could know, but it is clear that Muhammad was familiar with the teachings of Galen and Aristotle and general education of the time. Arabs and Persians are brilliant people. They invented civilization. I can't wait until Islam fades and allows this part of the world to reclaim its rightful place.

Of course, the Arabs conquered societies that outnumbered them greatly. So, the people we call "Arabs" now are only partly descended from the original Arab-speaking conquerors (sort of like how about half of Italians are actually of Greek descent). So - good for the original Arabs - bad for the Middle East as a whole.

Islam unified them all under a single banner which made them more powerful. But not just that, they also had code of morality and civil rights. I just don't understand why the anchor person Spitzer can't explain why US is occupying two Islamic countries and its resources. Why is US so openly allowing Israel to continue building settlements and shooting down all UN resolutions with Veto?
