is it common in Japan that cats go out on a leash? my cat can't even walk on a leash, he's falling like he's loosing his balance all the time.

This one is leashed trained. I watched some cat leash training videos and they all fall down when they're first put on a leash. They don't like the harness, but eventually get used to it (:
