This war is a total joke. The only reason we are in these perpetual wars is so the Military Industrial Complex can make billions of dollars. Yes, billions and billions of dollars at the expense of lives of young men, tax dollars, inflation, lives of innocent civilians, etc.
TheItalix , et al: Why should the U.S. allow the Taliban to win in Afghanistan when such a win will most likely re-create the same conditions that existed in the 90s where Al Qaeda had a safe haven within which to flourish--to plan for, train, and carry out its war on the United States, Israel, and Western civilization in general?
Ur too busy with American Idol. to watch the staues of democracy falling down all around you...
All other countries negotiate 4 their resources; Brazil Venezula, France, Japan, China, Britain, Australia, Spain etc Nobody else is engaged in War around the World...to loot their economies...
Iraq, Yemen, Afghanistan, soon to be Haiti, etc with bases around the world.
jbryant13: War is a brutal, hellish, messy affair. It ebbs and flows. It can take a LONG time to resolve. Why should there be a presumption that ANYWHERE in a war zone is 'safe' until the enemy is entirely broken and defeated?
Read Ziggy Brzezinski's Grand Chess Board to understand what is happening from Kabul to Barku.

The USA dropped the ball and was sidetraked in Iraq by special interest groups and 'dumb neo-cons' (who could not pull off 9/11 without gaping holes in their hapless false flag joke).
The current main game is a rerun of the Great Game. The end game is encirclement of Russia and more importantly China.
