Are the knobs on the huge mixing desk literally being automated up and down by the computer? Very cool video

@MrCurls121 The faders would originally be recorded by the machine as the engineers move them up and down, then replay the motion in playback

@JimmyCoola1 They wouldn't because then the fader movements would be recorded to track; what happens if they don't like the finished recording? They wouldn't be able to work with the sound and would have to re-record. They will have most likely recorded the sound, put the desk into read and write and automated the faders the way they see fit, that way it would be non-destructive editing - simply take the channel strip out of read and re-do the fader movements if there's a mistake
