  • i remember him from my youth watching his WCW matches. great talent!

  • I always thought he looked like Chuck Norris on steroids

  • I think he is the most powerfull man ever seen in pro-wrestling arena.

  • @yegenek He rates very high but also there was The Warlord, Don Muraco, Nathan Jones and a few others. Andre had the strongest hands.

  • LIKE this if the Colt Cabana/Bryan Danielson interview brought you here!

  • poor nagata....

  • @jerryleebrock i agree man he left in '99 when Russo came and WCW went to shit.

  • norton in 96 should have been a horsemen probably better than steve mcmichael

  • @raw1981 Hell yeah!! The nwo did nothing with Norton, Four Horsemen would have enhanced his career.

  • @raw1981 YOU would have been better that McMichael :P

  • @raw1981 a polsihed turd would have been better than Steve McMichael.

  • i remember the Nagata match. Norton treated Nagata like a dummy and tried almost every move he got.

  • I love the Flashback

  • its a shame someone like norton have to go to japan just to get over.

  • That powerbomb Looks like sid vicious powerbomb.

  • Another excellent vid, SD... I really appreciate the time and effort that you put into creating all of these.

Watching Norton's moves in this vid, it seems pretty obvious that Norton knew exactly how strong he was, and that he could very seriously injure someone if he wasn't careful - it looks like he went to great lengths to protect his opponent from injury, which is commendable. I had never seen him prior to his WCW days, but I don't recall him being as gentle then!

  • I remember Norton powerbombing one of the cruiserweights in WCW (I think the guy was Japanese) and it look like he broke the poor bastard in half. He just pasted the dude. I can't find the clip but it looked brutal as hell.

  • Hey SD....Awesome vid as always. Any Idea what ever happened to Norton?

I always loved Norton's shoulder Breaker. And that Powerbomb ....Wow!

  • I didn't know Norton actually had 10 moves... LOL (just kidding) He's like a human brick wall. He looks like you could shoot him and it would just piss him off. hahaha

  • 1:11.....all I gotta say is I hope Flash notified this dudes familia.

  • Always thought Norton could have gotten a better push in the states.

  • Norton was terrible IMO. His matches were all so stiff and ugly and he no-sold everything....

  • @capngeeoff That was his gimmick. He was the irresistible force and the immovable object.

  • all the moves onto one man - i think- that was a beating!

  • More like Wacky-gatame, amirite people???

  • That is a deadly Fujiwara Armbar.

  • Kick his Fucking ass Norton!!

  • flashback....hmmm...thats catchy

  • would like to see this match from start to finish. anyone have it?

  • Scotty is a really nice guy and a great wrestler too. But personally, I think he was always meant to be in Japan. With a guy that big and strong, you have to expect him to be slower as well. So matching him with smaller guys who could keep up a pace is a good idea. Then they go back and forth between a slow and fast pace. In the US, though, Norton was always put in against other bug guys, so the matches were just boring as hell IMO. He's a hell of a performer though.

  • @abacabb138

dude how old is he really? wikipedia has him as being born in 58', imdb has him being born in 62' i always like to know wrestler's ages and got most of them, but don't know which is his.

  • I think wiki has it right. He looks incredible for it too. If you'll notice, a lot of the guys who do most of their work in Japan age much more slowly than others. I think it's got a lot to do with the food and the health care personally. Hell, look at Ultimo Dragon. He's still going strong and he's way up there in age. Not sure how old exactly, but I'd be willing to bet he's at least late forties, early fifties by now. And he still looks like he's 25

  • @abacabb138

i think norton was born in 61' according to his myspace page. says he's 48 but his b-day is in may or august so he'll be 49.

    ultimo was born in 67'.

  • @TeslaDRay He's 76 if he's 10.

  • @ajax420336

huh? where is my post that you replied to? what was it i said again? lol

  • @ajax420336

nevermind i saw my post. dont know what you meant here lol.

  • always loved scott norton. pure power.

  • im follow him in twitter, and he replied my msg. seems to be a nice guy :)

  • Another great wrestler who should have been the world champion in the US. Just like Buff Bagwell, Billy Gunn, 2 Cold Scorpio, Arn Anderson, and many others.

  • @kltiswhoib Scott Norton was a good wrestler. They should've pushed him more in WCW. He would've been a great Horseman, the NWO totally misused him. Arn Anderson should've been world champion. Billy Gunn and Scorpio maybe. Bagwell....Hell no, he sucked!

  • @leroy592 Bagwell wasn't that bad, Sting was his mentor in 1991/92 and he's been around for a long time. He wasn't one of the best wrestlers ever, but he still deserved the chance at the world title. He had the physique, the skill, the personality, a great finishing move, and he's been in the ring with some of the best. I think he would have made a better champion than Jeff Jarrett, and Lex Luger.

  • Bagwell sucked! Sting mentored him and it didn't help much. He shouldn't have been in tne NWO, he was one of the too many members who watered it down. He had a physique, I'll give him that. He had an ok personality. What was his finishing move? Who has he wrestled? (Besides tag teams) Better champion than Lex Luger; hell no! Jeff Jarrett... that isn;t saying much. Buff Bagwell was a young Paul Roma... a glorified gym rat.

  • Bagwell didn't suck, he just made really stupid choices, like when he got the calf implant to be like Sting and it all went wrong, and when he starred in the cinemax latenight film. You're telling me that all the years that he put into wrestling was nothing? I can't agree with that, he was not one of the best ever, but he could have been if had used his full potential. He had the potential to be one of the best, but I guess his stupid choices ruined it.

  • Oh yeah, his finish was the block buster. He would dive off of the 2nd rope and flip in mid air into a neck breaker. I guess you could call it he flying neckbreaker. It looked really cool and convincing. Some wrestling guru's call it the hat rack smash. Think of Triple H doing his reverse neckbreaker in mid air off of the 2nd rope.

  • @leroy592

The Buff Blockbuster was a great finisher... especially for a guy his size to do.

  • @leroy592

he was funny too, and personally i liked him in the nwo, they needed guys like him too, he and scott steiner were so funny, and he was convincing as heel

guys who shouldnt have been in the nwo were sting, macho man, luger, rude, hennig, ...

  • @leroy592

nja arn isnt world champion material, buff bagwell isnt either but he could have been us champ

billy gunn, i like him very much, surely us/european/intercontinental titel material, world champ, maybe, but he had to improve for that, proving more as single competitor

  • @Elfop1ccolo Arn Anderson was world champion material. He wouldn't be on the level of Ric Flair, Hogan, Undertaker, Stone Cold or Triple H. He'd be more on the level of Iron Sheik, Diesel, Sgt. Slaughter, or Mick Foley.

  • I don't know about Bagwell, but the list is too long for me regarding wrestlers who should have been world champs in the US. Especially if we're talking about when the major titles in the US actually meant something, which hasn't been for a very long time now.

  • Who knew that Norton used a rope assisted DDT like Orton

    Orton and Norton lol

  • Norton was the shit.Such a badass. He was totally used shit in WCW.

  • Where the hell is he now?

  • Wrestling in Japan, for HUSTLE i think..

  • @oysta187 yes that right

  • I remember Scott Norton in WCW.

Scott Norton was a power lifter and could bench press around 650 lbs.

  • norton ist e beascht

  • Scott Norton, the Tom Jones of wrestling.

  • No doubt about it, Norton was a fuckin' beast!!!!

  • thats one of my favorites! i LOVE Scott Norton.he was one of my faves as a child

  • It`s just you...

  • His moves are so basic :S

  • remember that norton's best moment was during the early 90's....years in wich the most dangerous and powerful finisher was a camel clutch......so to speak

  • When I first saw Scott Norton in WcW in the early 90's, I told my friends and I knew deep down that this man have the talents to become a future Champion because all the power moves and Judo locks he does is well executed...nothing fancy bullshit.

In Japan, he became a instant hit with the fans and I must say that the "Flash" is easily one of the best big man wrestlers in the 90's and 2000's that have speed, wrestling ability skills, and endurance.

Very hard to come by for todays wrestlers

  • What character did he play in 'over the top' i dont remember seeing him in any match

  • Hahaha its great that he does all 10 to the same dude in the same match. I didn't know he really wrestled because he never did in WCW. That explains all these moves he used in the old N64 game.

  • What a powerful stud Norton was! DAMN!

  • What a great moveset. His Powerbomb is one of the best I've ever seen!

  • yeah that Powerbomb was nasty

  • Good Goddess Norton's powerbombs are *violent*.

  • That Lariat just say get the f** down.

  • is it just me or did that brainbuster look more like a suplex?

  • man, this top ten was like a hate vid to whoever norton was man handling in it.......

  • that DDT = RAPE !

  • lmao

  • haha Randy Orton can't even do his lame DDT off the top rop he has to do the middle. Scott Norton FTW!!!!

  • wasn't he a jobber in the nwo?

  • basically but a lot of good talent were jobbers in wcw look at perry saturn

  • And its weird how a wrestler who was a top contender in one promotion but a mid carder or jobber in another. Unless you are TNA and over push the WWE/WCW stars.

  • @barbwirepain

perry saturn wasnt just a jobber imo, he was a good midcarder, there is something in between jobber and champ you know :)

i loved the wcw midcard, like malenko and benoit, raven and saturn, van hammer, bam bam bigelow, .. :p

  • whats the diference of a lariat and a clostline???

  • clothesline they just stand there and hold their arm out. the lariat they actually run at them and whack them with their arm. ull lariats almost 100% of the time.

  • He was the first gaijin to win the IWGP Heavyweight Title, wasn't he? I'm not surprised. The dude is a freaking tank.

However, I wouldn't call that Brainbuster "Sheerdrop" seeing as the opponent teetered backwards a bit. But hey, it's your video.

  • Vader was the first gaijin to hold the title, if memory serves me correct.

  • though its forgettable...but wasnt Salmon Hashimokov the first??

  • He actually beat Vader for the title.

  • oh right :P

  • @TheSuicidalDragon wasnt Hogan the first iwgp champ

  • Actually, he wasn't. He defeated Inoki in the finals of the IWGP Tournament in 1983. The belt he won(I think he received a belt after the match, it's been a while since I've seen it) was in recognition of his tournament victory. The IWGP Heavyweight Title wasn't commissioned until 1988.

  • @TheSuicidalDragon all the title histories i ever read mark that as the first reign. anyways all the gaijin champs were better than they ever were in america

  • It's a fairly common misconception, mainly because at the end of the Hogan/Inoki bout, Hogan receives a title belt, which is in recognition of his tournament victory.

  • @TheSuicidalDragon you have some of the best videos ever keep them rolling

  • wath font do you use in the text?

    It looks sweet

  • id also like to know please.

  • Was that Kensuke Sasaki that got the flying shoulderblock?

  • I always liked Norton. Although I always thought he looked out of place in an American ring, due to the fact that he works Japan style better. In a way, Giant Bernard reminds me of Norton in that regards. Mike Awesome is another guy who did his best work in Japan. The only fed in the states that suited Awesome was ECW.

  • You should always use this font and color for your videos, it looks so much cleaner. Also Norton owns, etc...

  • Haha all that was in the same match That guy got his ass Kicked!

  • Norton is sooooo underrated.

  • a joshi wrestler came up with the jackhammer.

  • Jaguar Yokota, to be exact.

  • did you get most of his top 10 from one match?

  • Norton has got to be my favourite big man of all time. That rope-assisted DDT is the most brutal thing I've ever seen. D:

  • Kinda chubby..but ok for size.

  • goldberg didnt invent the jackhammer???

  • LOL, No.

  • oops

  • A joshi invented the jackhammer

  • Jaguar Yokota, to be exact.

  • No, in fact it was Jaguar Yokota, and Dean Malenko was actually using the move long before Goldberg was.

  • but he did make it popular in the states

  • oh thanks

  • he was in the n.w.o

  • No, if i'm not wrong the Jackhammer (Suplex Powerslam) was invented by Jaguar Yokota

  • ok thank u
