  • @kungfuwhip78 look at the mess capitalism has the world in at the moment

  • who know name this music?thanks

  • we should send kim jong-il and that guy from iran to chernobyl to see what a nuclear mishap can cause, much less an intentional nuclear attack. humans are smart, but we're also irresponsible and ignorant. we can't handle the great responsibility of nuclear energy. may all of those souls rest in peace.

  • damn crazy

  • who can tell me the name of the song? thanks

  • I am from croatia and they say that the radioac. came even here...and u and ur stupid game...!!!

  • @aldisgrgr

actually its 50000. Im about to visit Chernobyl this year, or another.

  • @aldisgrgr You people make me sick.

Going to all these videos and posting comments from some video game. Thousends of people died there, and they made it secure enough that it wouldn't leak to all of Eroupe.

Every video I see has some stupid and uncalled for comment "omg lol 50,000 ppl use to live here."

I'm just sick and tired of it.

  • @omglolpie408 Nobody gives a shyt if you feel sick ppl can say whatever they want

  • @omglolpie408 it sannoying me too, some people obviously bum cod 4

  • @omglolpie408 Hypocrite.

  • @omglolpie408 I agree with you...all I can think of is that these comments must be coming from young kids who only know about this from a video game...you know what I mean?I think/hope when they get older, they will understand. It's comments like yours that will help with this. Thanks for your post.

  • @omglolpie408 ppl are just heartless.

  • @omglolpie408 accually half million died as said on answers.com

  • @Kylieminogue217 oops ment to say on the comments on answers.com "radiation may spread but it didnt kill :P dumbasses" its on the comment page ha

  • @omglolpie408 No one actually died there. Well, people died within the power plant due to explosions and extreme radiation. But it was never thousands. Thousands of people may have died in the last few years and will continue to for yours to come. But they aren't there.

  • @omglolpie408 Hello. 1.) You make me sick. 2.) People can post whatever they want. If it makes you sick, you, sir or madam, have a problem. 3.) Thousands of people did NOT die there. 4.) It DID leak to Europe. Scandinavia and Russia happens to be a part of E.U., too. 5.) Uncalled comment? Sir or madam, your type of comment is uncalled for. Who are you to say what a comment should look like? 6.) If you're sick of it, then do NOT watch it and do NOT pay attention to it. Simple as.

  • @omglolpie408 Indeed. My brother died there. He was a soldier who helped move Radioactive Materials.

  • @LeksMishka Please accept my condolences.

  • @wardenphil Thank you.

  • This is by far the most impessive documentry I have seen, the music and footage..........beautiful. You can sense it like you are there.

What is the name of the music?

  • @carmenelize I've Come to Watch Birds Congregate by Worrytrain

  • tell me is there any boundaries like how close you can get to the reactor

  • I hope to travel over there one of these days. Can you tell me the price of what it would take to take the tour of Pripyat and the station?

  • What's the song called?

  • @caileanb I've to Watch Birds Congregate by Worrytrain

  • The life of the people must have been hard during those times. I come from a town in Bulgaria called Sofia and from the memories I have from it, I must say this ghost town looks very similar in many ways. It sorta breaks my heart because kids had their life ruined because of greed and authority.

  • Dang, did you do this alone? Must have been scary as hell...

  • wow, they gave the liquidators paper masks,PAPER FUCKIN MASKS!

  • @BankZed Well, not EVERYONE just got paper masks. Most sent to the roof, the worst area, received rubber rain-suits.

(NOTE: Since there's ALWAYS some who are completely lost by sarcasm .... no, I'm not implying the rain-suit guys were better off than the paper-mask guys.)

Truly sad that many didn't actually KNOW how dangerous it was, were told suits, masks, & short work-time meant fairly safe. This was the USSR, with even education level being regulated. Don't need to know = You don't know.

  • I bet it felt eery as hell when you went there. I would have been sick to my stomach. It really is sad.

  • Oh god,I hate gas mask they scare me,Even Black eye Gas mask scares me more,a friend in roblox told me he head a Uncle there,he's uncle die about the heli,he says the Pilot was trowing water because some fire, and the Pilot did lost control.

  • Ahhh, god Gas mask scares me,how whas called thad Sector of the Zone alone?

  • Whats the music, i wan't to go here when im older aswell.

  • The cause of the disaster was the fall of that heli?

  • @TA8AT Nooo, safety test that went wrong, stopping coolant reaching the reactor and then it overheated and exploded.

  • not to sound like a stupid nerd but 1:54 that swimming pool and the whole building plus the vegetation around it looks exactly the same like tha swimming pool from that multiplayer map "mp block" from Cod4 modern warfare :O

  • @TheSadTroll Dude the sniper mission in Cod 4 takes place in Chernobyl-.-

  • @sukkahiki666

i know :) i was just impressed how they put it in the game, looks almost even

  • @TheSadTroll that map is in chernobyl and 2 missions are in chernoybl

  • @EGGNOGDESTROYER98

    OMG ! i said i know !

i was just impressed how they put it in the game, it looks almost 1/1

  • what you need to do when a dog is comming there?

  • Watched both parts of your video now and they're simply brilliant. Well done. It's somewhere I will visit one day. When you went, was Pripyat incuded in the exclusion zone or is that just Chernobyl itself?

  • the radar you see at 1:12 is know mainly as the russian woodpecker it has other names such as. steel yard or the moscow eye its, an research facility for an old thing called an OTH radar OTH=over the horizon. theres also speculation as to it being a kind of mind control or weather controlling radar. its isnt used anymore due to the fact that it is covered in radiation. i went there with some friends who are russian and we were lucky to get the clearance to be there. an erie place.

  • @Theory94

Very good and correct information! I hope other will learn from your report!

  • id love to go there just to see it. id even help with the clean up operation for pripyat if there is one its just one of those things

  • the ghost city...

  • Whats the shadow all about?

  • hell you can sneak into the zone just dont get cout

  • I must know this song... please

  • that guy reminds me of dr. horrible

  • Back in those days it was shields and arrow...

    and now it one-drop-all-life-is-gone weapons

I mean WHAT THE FUCK has the world gone to

  • Holy fucking shit! Moscow Eye = Brain Scorcher! Ahhh!!! You'd have to be a fool to go there.

  • the europeans was so damn angry on the soviet union if this happened

  • I hope the crew survived that helicopter crash

  • @TheHomerjt

They didn´t survived it. The pilot lost control of the chopper cause of the unbelievable radiation and crashed into the crane. At least most of those people died. They hadn´t any protection maybe a mask and a suit, that´s all. And most of them even didn´t know anything about radiation. Most of them were workers or farmers. Chernobyl and Hiroshima were the biggest disasters in human history. Oh and Adolf Hitler... that stupid asshole who leads a whole country into pain.

  • @derjoghurtmitderecke At least Hitler didnt toy with Nuclear Energy like Soviet Leaders... And look how that end it up...

  • @ImperialGuard9001

First: I´m german, I know the german history.

Second: Hitler always tried to build a nuclear bomb. Google it or sumthin but there were many operations you don´t know yet. Of course, the nuclear bomb was top secret but he always tried it.

    Soviet Leaders ... - .- No comment. Russians ... - .- No comment.

  • Fuck!!! That building at 1.10 is huuuuuuuuuuuuge!

    Kool video! Thanks.

  • isnt this the music used in 28weeks later and a couple of resident evil movies?

  • damn thats a true ghost town

  • was chernobyl a city?? where at?

  • @sexyboi142

This is not chernobyl. This town is called Pripyat'.

Chernobyl is 20 km away to south. Pripyat' is artifical town built especially for nuclear station's employees (3km from station).

  • @syberrus13 thanx...i went an looked it up right after this.

  • i hope your value your fertility........another example of mankinds messing with things they shouln`t...

  • Nature is taking that place back, and the deadly elephant foot will still be their long after those structures are gone.

  • Raise a glass, and drink to the memories of the Firefighters, Liquidators, Pilots, and Civilians who lost their lives (and in some cases are still suffering) from this disaster.

    - Salute -

  • i feel sorry for all thepeople who were in there but i play to much fallout 3

  • does anyone know what actually happened to the helicopter? did it just start to melt because of the radiation?

  • When did you this video? how did you get inside?

  • What are the radiation readings inside the sarcophagus?

  • Aren't you worried about exposure? And I appreciate your risking your health to bring us these videos. I don't encourage it, but you did it. Thanks.

  • haha, that's not chernobyl, that's "block" from cod 4.

  • ``steel yard `` is the western name ;) (i forgot to say that ..)

  • Today (4/26/10) is the 24th anniversary of the disaster.

  • czarny is atcually just called ``steel yard`` :P its damn huge !!

  • @Freedomfight94

I saw lots of different names of this object. In polish it's called "Oko Moskwy" so if you translate it in english it'll be "Moscow Eye".

  • @Czarny89LBN Hi, im wondering, were you really there alone, no guide or friends with you? How did you experience that? Thanks x

  • hey watch out when wandering around without proper headgear, the radioactive molecules could still penetrate through your skin

  • unless radioactive GET ONE OF THE GAS MASKS!

  • were you there alone with out a tourguide ?

  • nice job

  • thax

  • Creepy anyone else think this looks like the map from cod 4?

  • that was kinda the point. the levels in COD4 take place here

  • thats because it is

  • @TheDrewDays

No it reminds me to S.T.A.L.K.E.R ;).

  • @TheDrewDays fuck yea man, i was thinking "block", did block have a ferris wheel? one of them did.

  • this video is amazing. whats the song?

  • @PerPear I've to Watch Birds Congregate by Worrytrain

  • this is a very good video. nice job. music fits it well.

  • 1:50 - hang on, isn't that the clock from Cloverfield?

  • respekt to the worker´s there !

  • What's the object at 1:07?

  • it was like a giant radar made to detect nuclear attacks by the u.s., kind of ironic that they beat themselves to the punch

  • duga-3. military antenna.

  • @wfparts thx, you right... this antenna was build after/until the accident of Chernobyl?

  • @JakubWeber it built in 70's. named "ear of the SU". this giant ear deafed in 1989.

  • 0:44 oh my godnes it irradiated child when chernobyl blew up? btf its true or only joke (fake)?

  • No, those are drawings that are seen around the town of Prypiat so that visitors can remember the people who lived there (I think).

  • @DuDaX it was some crazy frenchy that painted them

  • @ondrak007 no it is not because there was no flash no people burnt into the bulding and the reactor #4 was not even in that direction what happend was that there was a big boom people put on masks and then left a decade later the government sayed to them hear you left your home to get a 30 ruble minimmum wage and where scard with the name liqudators and radiation if you got close enoufe to the dabree even then when he was in that dark place that was the catherdral and not much radiation isthere

  • @ondrak007 lol dude, chernobyl didn't blow up, it's not like hiroshima where you could see outlines of ppl when they got incinerated. I think that's just a drawing probably even before....

Lol that's some perfect angling, it irradiated t3h toy truck onto the wall!

  • Good song please name? :) and good video :)

  • THe liquidators were very brave people and each an every one of them dies a horrible death. They are genuine heros..

  • at 0:44

    CREEPY

  • 1:57-2:17 is horrific. such a tradgic incident

  • @branman2012 where in chernobyl are all those masks? and why are they there?

  • belarus sufferd the most

exept for the people that put out the fires

  • how can you com there i mean issent it dagerous? sorry for my bad englich;)

  • Not if you stay 20 min, but if you stay longer you´re fucked

  • that's wrong.

I have been there in June 2009, we staid the all day in the zone. We were said that workers over there shift every 2 weeks, as you do not have to stay more than 15 days in the zone. So you can stay much more than 20 minutes, believe me.

    GREAT VIDEO

  • some say you can go there, but you can't stay for too long.

  • In there alone wow id be freaking out and if you saw someone in there taht you didnt know WHILE you were alone thatd freak me out even more!!

  • great video

btw here's how to remove wmg:

    /watch?v=o1Ous6DMmVw

  • what `s this for a building at 1:12 / it`s so big !!! look at the forest / the forrest is soooo small wow

  • (officially) It's a long range radar called "Moscow Eye", built by Soviet Union. Even though it's not in use, it's still restricted area.

Rumors say that there is some kind of research facility where the influence of electro magnetic field on human brain is tested. ;]

  • the radar is closed down rite? x.x

  • @Czarny89LBN @Czarny89LBN

It is the Over The Horizon (OTH) Radar Site DUGA-3 more commonly known as "The Woodpecker" because of the distinct sound that was given off from the site that was picked up from radio stations in various parts of the world.

Youtube Russian Woodpecker and Numbers Stations.

  • @Czarny89LBN You played too much stalker ! its officialy restricted, but if you bribe the gards you may get the rights to visit the Radar site. Outside that dont you think you were wearing a ''bit too much''' protection ? Ive been there too, in the zone, last summer, and was wearing regular military pants and T-shirt.....and as far i as know , except if you plan to sit in the grass, you dont need particular protection.

  • @CaFPhantom11 Radiation absorbed by plants isn't the only hazard of The Zone. You forgot about dust. There's never too much protection. About the radar site, you know what word "rumors" means... It isn't as easy to get there as you think.

  • @Czarny89LBN I understand your opinion about never having too much protection. Inside buildings, dust may be a problem, but outside (on the road) it is relatively safe .....but still irradiated. Anyway, last pictures (from close range) i saw from the radar were took in 2008. So in my opinion, you can get close to it. I'm going back in the zone (including the Belarussian area) during the summer of 2011. Come with me, we will climb it ! hehe....

  • @Czarny89LBN oh shit...what building where u standing at at 1:31 ?

...and how do u get in the zone ?

  • @2976847 There is a area you're allowed to enter, though big parts isnt allowed to be entered.

  • @Czarny89LBN You know where i can get some info about The "Moscow Eye"

  • @2976847

Information can be found if you Google search "Moscow Eye," "Steel Yard," "Russian Woodpecker," "Duga-3"

  • @onnanob yes definitely its worth looking into this stuff its really interesting. ive looked into alot more with things such as HAARP and Marx Generators are a good thing to look at

  • @CaFPhantom11 It may be restricted but many people have been inside and there is plenty of pictures and so on.

Right now I'm looking at photos of people climbing the antenna

The most dangerous places tend to be enclosed rooms like cellars where wind and rain can't get to the radiation and disperse it.

  • @Czarny89LBN someone seen neear the building ?

  • @Czarny89LBN not brain but Weather ! it's the HAARP sistem! but sovietic!

  • search on g o o g l e for "DUGA 3"

  • :( I did get tears in my eye!. And I am going to visit that place I think.

  • Russia should honor more the brave men who gave her lives or who had to gave their lives for stupidity of some scientists.

More than 23 years have passed since the accident.

    Some people forget fast

  • @xander51371 The scientists suffer in skin too the blame for the horrible conditions that lead to Disaster is with Poliburgo with Soviet Leaders miles away safe in their houses while they send thousands of men to die becuase of their own mistakes those are the ones I blame and they should probaly be hanged the fuckers even try to supresed all info about Chernobly Disaster after it and killed anyone that even spoke of Radition still present and hardzous for the people

  • Looks like Silent Hill irl to me.

  • great. you must have some courage to go in there alone, and at 0:43 is that a mark of someone who got incinerated?

  • No, it's a painting.

  • yeah it was suposedly painted by a french artist who entered the city after the disaster, well thats where some of the paintings came from

  • Great Chernobyl video. Really great!

May I ask you about the music?

    Thanks...

  • They were sent in to put out the fires at the power plant, most thought it was just a fire and didn't understand that they were being exposed to radiation doses that exceed the maximum recommended dose for a year(or a lifetime, can't remember) in that short space of time. Others were forced to go, they had no choice in the matter..

  • whats with the huge pile of gas masks?

  • Who the hell is that young blond guy walking around taping this?! He is too young to be there and that greatly increases your chances of cancer, mutations and disease, none of it any good.

Well, he got some good shots but it wasn't worth the severe risk to his health. I commend thee.

  • It's me mate. I knew the risks and I'm good so far ;).

  • Were you alone? Which also leads me to ask.. why would this be allowed if they're so concerned about stealing or even moving objects in the area?

  • @Czarny89LBN Well done. That took guts and was very well presented. The music was particularly good. You have done an excelent job of presenting to the outside world, many of whom dont even know the name Chernobyl or Prypiat the stark tragety of the event and its ongoing aftermath. I can honestly say that I hope your rather modest protective gear did its job and that you remain healthy.Well done!

  • Considering tours into the city are operational, I'm sure it's okay... certain area's are dangerously irradiated but bring a geiger counter and you're fine... there are also tours to the inside of reactor 4's chamber(Well yea you have to wear a radiation suit but considering ou can still go inside...) so it's not as bad as you may think.

  • Detonater - That is complete disinfo! What are you smoking? You think Chernobyl and the exclusion zone is some sort of THEME PARK? NO ONE goes inside reactor 4! The last team that went in during the late 90's and early 2000's - did so for the sake of the planet at the expense of their OWN LIVES.

A team of scientists and experts went in and examined reactor 4 - strangely almost all died of heart disease (not radiation sickness).

Chernobyl is not a walk in the park - put down the crack-cocaine.

  • I will be NBC instructor and I saw documentary about this disaster..interviews with people who survived..and..I felt sick..never...never let them do this again! Never! Nuclear, chemical and bio weapons are parts of our war technologies which would never be made...//is it correctly in english?

  • I know what you mean. I saw movies about Chernobyl disaster. I guess we all hope that tragedy like that from 1986 will never happen again. Thanks for your comment.
