  • It's a shame they've lost all of this energy

  • @humabuna they got it back. i saw them a couple of weeks a go in LA and they were as energetic as in this video or even more

    <33

  • alot better than the original

  • Super cool band yaa x)

  • I love the music! And Helders has some awesome drum skills! :D

  • god damn, British people know how to have a festival. American crowds fucking suck. the majority of people go see certain bands for ONE FUCKING SONG! then leave. assholes.

  • amazing

The're one of the best bands of this century, espacially live.

  • how this song has come to bite him in the arse, given the way he now talks. your not from new york city, high green sheff cok remember your roots alex.

  • @giveusatenner Nannnh, hasn't bitten him at all. Listen to the lyrics--it's about someone pretending to be someone they're not. Alex is back in East London with Alexa now anyway. Moving to NYC for <3 is hardly selling out--but then you're smart enough to already have known that, aren't you?

  • @lockergr Listen u tit u ant gt a clue mate, I do listen to the lyrics the boys a poet but it's still bitten him in the arse no doubt

  • @giveusatenner You're funny! xP

  • @lockergr wow I can't spell I couldn't care less I'd understand if I were writng a novel bt am not so swivel u tart, plus why does he now talk like he's never seen yorkshire and sing with a kind of whistle on every song on humbug u bell

  • he says 'is there fuck' regarding to the fans at the gig, saying there are no bored faces at the back. :)

  • theres a few bored faces at the back wishing they werent there "was there fuck" aha love it :')

  • Magnifique!!!

  • It's really fast \o\

    Hey, one question..

In that part "Get off the bandwagon and put down the handbook" Do all 4 of them sing at the same time? I was trying to make that in my band only with 2 voices.. /o/

  • b0ooo

  • Muse are awesome and Monkeys have a fairl simple style, but the way they pull it off is unbelievable. Alex's charisma is the main thing which attracts me to the band.

  • Just realised how gay that sounded I don't mean it in that way!

  • Bring on Leeds/Reading 2009!

  • seems to me that ur stuck in the past.

indie is the present alot of people like it, and in 20 years time we will be saying exactly what you are saying now ;) its just the way it is :)

  • these are good musicians, i could imagine it would be harder to write music to an accent than it would to write it to an actual professional singer!

besides, these are good musicians, im in a band right, and trying to come up with the sorts of riffs these genius's do, its fucking hard alright!

and Alex Turner's a god at lyrics... I'd like to see you write a song about sexual teasing and manage to pull it off as a song which is lyrically based on sweets!

  • its stil shed loads better than any other country you obviously just don't know the right places to look

  • great song...did you notice how the tempo increases after, 'love's not only blind but deaf' noticeably. and another thing i loved was, 'the band were fucking wank'

  • yeah! mother fuckin

    1000*

  • the most fuckin wonderful live song!! i love the end

  • WARNING this concert contains strobing.

  • You're talking about it like if its a freakin competition. It's unfair you say that when there have been fucking epic american rockers like Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, The Stooges, Velvet Underground, Patti Smith, The Ramones, The Misfits, Black Flag, REM, Nirvana, The White Stripes, The Strokes and so many others

  • Yeah they have indeed, but for such a small place the UK has produced so many more amazing bands than the US

  • Uk is not a small place

  • Comment removed

  • 52*

  • yeah both countries have produced amazing bands and it dosnt matter where theyre from anyway

  • i don't want to hear ya...

kick me out ... kick me out

    jajajaja

it works in so many levels :D

  • wooooah :Đ

  • reading 2009!

  • yeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhh :D

  • fuck yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • hell yeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhh!

  • I've fell in love with these again.

  • UK rock has always been the best, just think of bands like The Clash, The Who, The Stoneroses, The Smiths & Oasis and thinks of bands we have now, The Arctic Monkeys, The Courtneers, Babyshambles, The Enemy and so on.

If you agree post a reply!!

    don't forget the libertines!!!

  • and dont forgett the beatles

  • Who are The Courteeners?

  • @AvAPlus44Makes182 You Overdid It Doll--eargasmic

  • No odnt forget the libertines :P

  • YES

    Rule Britannia

  • The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Radiohead, Sex Pistols, Queen, the list is endless..

  • sex pistols! queen! errrrrrrrr

    :P

  • Queen where a very popular band in the UK and US in the 80's, I'm not a big fan of them but it doesn't change the facts. The Sex Pistols where one of, if not the most iconic band that there has ever been, they pioneered punk and wrote some of the best generation defining songs ever. Again, a UK band, just proving that the UK has the best bands :)

  • oh no im fully aware who both bands are ;)

just not a fan of either i meant "errr" as in "err thats disgusting"

sex pistols were a manufactured boy band and queen were way too cheesey for me

but on only messing around : i know they were both very popular and still are :)

  • all fucking brilliant, no one can top the arctic's though

  • ''is it fuck'' haha legend, gotta love them, otherwise your gay really....

best band in the world :D

    deffo

''the proof that loves not only blind but deaf''

  • Can play this song its amazing :)

o and btw the new album will be good i think because helders has already said the new drumming is a hell lot faster and harder so i cant wait personally favourite band (Y)

  • there not from rotheram, from sheffield

  • haha i do know that they're from sheffield,i was just saying i wanted to move there cause they had it in their song and its only 10 miles away from sheffield

  • i so need to get that accent !!!

i friggin love it! let's move to rotheram :D

  • haha denied, i know your a fan :P

  • Let's move to Rotherham? Isnt Alex Turner from Sheffield?

  • tune, porformance and accent is the factor! ^_^

  • Immense

  • nobody ever talks about muse at reading/leeds '06

    its just all AM

    absoloutly Stole the show

  • MUSE SUCKS>>

    arctic is great....

of course they should be a talk about..

    there good live

its the arctics time @the reading..

the greatest blooper however is the fucking bottling at the reading ..

Brendon of panic became the talk about ..

he got a disastrous encounter anyway..

  • only 1 bad thing about the arctics live, but the music and lyrics blow you away so you dotn notice. they just stand there and play nothing mmuch else. still one of the top bands.

lets hope the new albbum is good cause i dotn want them to be buried!

  • basically, san fransisco was meant to be a hot spot for fresh new ideas in music and art, i think the poin al is making is, the tales are fake because whats came out of san fransisco, he may be takin the piss or not, either way its a funny lyric and makes ppl think lol. great song i must add. im english and love the arctics they're amazing. helders rocks [=

  • LOL it doesn't matter if it's British and American, both can be great and both can be shit, but the British people sure have a cuter accent! :D

  • I agree, i personally like British music, but, i cant talk, cos im Australian and we have fuck all here!!

  • you got the cat empire you lucky bastards!

  • i didnt know dat

  • Im sure an american name in this song is in there for a different reason, its not like they need to hit big in america, look at all the support they have in England

  • Hair! Quality

  • The bands I keep hearing about, that are good over in the U.K., are more mainstream than bands in the U.S. At the moment our mainstream music sucks compared to the U.K.'s mainstream music. But if you dive into the indie world of the U.S. there are couple of really good, even great bands. Like The Strokes, which nobody knows about here in the U.S. There is also the Kings of Leon, Cold War Kids, White Stripes, Spoon, Vampire Weekend, Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, and of course Queens of the Stone Age.

  • Pretty much spot on, Vampire Weekend are brilliant.

  • @mcvalea I love your musical taste. You hit it sir.

  • american and british , there are excelent bands on both countries

american have nirvana , guns n' roses , JIMMY HENDRIX

and england has the beatles , the rolling stones , queen..

i prefer the british bands but , it's just my opinion

  • fuck off u yank.the only american band i liked was the monkees and they based themselves on an english band

    funny that innit

  • and KIllers based themselves on english music aswell hahaha!

  • Excellent live performance! I love the Arctic Monkeys!

  • you said this exact same thing on like 2 other videos.

  • pretty sure its an insult song about those bands

  • yup

  • You are daft yeah? Do your research about what the song is about instead of jumping to not only unfounded but just plain idiotic conclusions...

  • go fuck urself mate

best bands in the world --> The beatles , Oasis , The Rolling stones , David bowie , the kooks , arctic monkeys

hmmm. no americans , i wonder why

  • Hard to argue with that. I'm American and I'll even chime in with Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe, etc.

We did have Nirvana, RIP Kurt Cobain.

But historically there are some really good American songwriters, Carol King, Chrissie Hynde, John Phillips,Brian Wilson.

Please check out our new music video,

    "Where's Jeffrey?" - Ether Park

    pop song, funny video

  • i don't know anyone of this songwriters, except kurt obviously , it's strange because US is dominating the world.. but.. to me it's like i mencionate charly garcia, soda stereo, luis alberto spinetta.. sure you didn't heard of them ever

  • @PowerRangerMegaTent Look, I own two Kooks discs, but best ever? Not a flippin chance.

  • Huh? I'm American and I can't even think of an example of this. Sting's song "An Englishman in New York" is the only song I can think of , and he had been famous for years when he came out with that.

  • I dont want to hear ya

    Kick me out.lol

    great song

  • i mean the is there f**k part

  • Lol 1.06 about there own gig

  • nervous my ass, they look absolutely steady and confident

  • simple, but great!

really the monkeys are so ****ing good on stage! every time I see them I really cant believe my eyes! But they are quite nervous here though...

  • oh my godness!!!!!!!!!

  • You can't compare muse and the monkeys, they're completely different. muse's all about putting a show, fireworks, all that shit (i respect it but still), that's not the monkeys' thing.

  • That was a pretty dissapointing performance for me... they are way overhyped, NME ruined them. This Alex was bit nervous. Muse totally made up for their performance though.

  • Every person whose on the mainstage at Reading is gona be nervous!!

    They were amazing!!!

  • That was pretty cool!!!

  • Holy crap Nick's already there? He's freakin' lucky. Oh man I miss Andy!

  • Alex's hair grew, he should get it cut.* But great band!

  • fucking insane!

    All wishing they weren't there
