i like that teacher to XD but my favorite is mr. howe!! he is soooo funny... and i love my 7th grade history! he was awesom! we must use the same program. My sister is a senior too and she did sewing and cooking :) she HATED sewing sooo you didnt miss out XD.
i did ABEKA videos in 6th grade.i loved them.but nw i do all diff books.so i cant ): soooooo...ya.but its not JUST public schoolers that talk about hamschoolers. every school kid that isn thomeschooled!lol
i dont understand public school people! YES WE HAVE BOOKS, HOMEWORK, AND LOTS (need to work on grammar) MORE WORK! lol.ya!!! you go chica (i do spanish) lol
Mcbride is the best teacher.. Being in A beka from kindergarten to 11th grade (Where I am now) I can attest, he is the best teacher in the curriculum.
@obikelaulbai You can based on something that you're interesting combined schoolwork. It's not too difficult, just try and adjust it over and over again.
@obikelaulbai well, in my way, I enrolled same school as the owner of this video. So, I arrange my time to study homework and add some extra reading that I like. Sometimes I'd practice my essay skills or violin. I even cooking when I want to eat something special...(I currently living in oversea, so I can't get most of food that I want to.) You can learn many things from your routine life. I'm still adjusting...because there's no typical homeschooler. Trust yourself and God is important.
Algebra 2.. *shoots self in face* I HATE IT SO MUCH lol.
Im 14, grade 10. I can't believe you did all that stuff in one semester! I take a full year for all of the abeka courses (except the ones that are marked on the website as one semester)
Im doing World Lit, Algebra 2, Grammar, Vocabulary, and Apologia Chem :) with acting classes, singing lessons, and some dance.
I use Abeka too! Just got done with it this year. I was thinking that maybe you used Abeka when you said in your other video that you use DVDs. That is awesome! I know what you mean. Mr. McBride is the best. He cracks me up all the time with his stories lol.
I used to be a Christian that simply never questioned my religious beliefs. I used to say stupid things like "if we came from monkeys then why are there still all these other monkeys". However I finally educated myself about evolution, cosmology, biology, and physics and I found answers to all the questions I had. People just need to stop and truly look for the answers they seek and they will find reasonable explanations.
OMG homeschool collage....ickkkkkkk well good luckkkk :D and doomsday doctor who soundtrach in the background...or my computers f-d up again.... oh well good luck :D:D:D
Totally AWESOME!!! I did that English Lit book too! Although I think I did it in 11th grade... nope, it was 12th! LOL Yeah! and it was totally rocking awesome! OK, especially when you get to Pilgrim's Progress! oh man that book changed my entire view on Bunyan's classic! Anyway, totally awesome you don't have to do science this year! I took Geometry in 11th so I didn't have to take math or science in 12th. lol Abeka rocks btw!
i guess the people who public schoolers think are "on vacation" all the time are like unschoolers, because the unschooling method is just very non-schoolish... yeah. wow i probably just made no sense... XD
I know this question might sound stupid but Do you have to be a certain religion to be in homeschooling? because I noticed you have a book for bible study...
hell no hes right u dont have to be religious ive been homeschooled for all 12 years and im not a tuck my shirt in little retard u sleep till 1200 and do work in your pajamas
haha I did american government with that exact book lol Abeka baby!!! And I didn't do any DVD's until my senior year and it was only for Algebra 2 My mom didn't wanna spend that much money at first so yea lol Gratz on graduating this year!! Love the vids...settin ppl straight on us homeschoolers ;P
=) Well my mom helps me study for tests and quizzes whenever she can, but since she has a job I pretty much do all the work myself... But she grades everything, I don't lol. =P And my dad doesn't teach me, but he helps out if I'm confused about something.
You know, I bet being home schooled would give you a more flexible schedule and the ability to actually physically see some of the things you are actually studying about.
I think "normal schools" are a bit narrow minded. Its good for people like you to be exposed to a variety of different options. Oh, and you're just fun person to listen to, not gonna lie.
You learn a ton of stuff in speech class. Communication. Anunciation. How to start interesting conversations with people, instead of something boring. You learn how to act, in a sense. There's just so much going in speech class, it's great. And there's more to come! I can't wait to take a speech class in college! :) (Sorry, it wasn't a great definition. Try Google lol.)
well i stopped because i went to a private Christian school for a year, then a year of public, then all the way up til now, i've been doing a curriculam called ACE (i like it) have you heard of it?
omg im in 10th grade and i gonna take algebra 2 next yr because i took consumer math this yr

What do you mean actual college???
You could go to home college and then you could get a home job and then realize you have a home life then and then you coul commit a home suicide.

Homeschoolers get such a bad rap... in truth, we are often smarter than people who go to public school!
~ Grade 10, A+ average on science, A+ average on writing, A+ in Bible, A- average on math, B+ average in music, speech, history.
