Hah, Schedule 40 pipe is terrible.

should use schedule 80 (the blue pipe) its almost twice as thick and rated for pneumatic lines if thats any idea to you how much stronger it is.

lol, i made a catapult for my 8th grade physics class 2 years ago, it was made from pvc, 10 ft of sergical tubing, and a tubberware bowl. It had an adjustable rod for distance. It was 2 ft long and 1ft high. I won the accuracy contest at 15 and 50 ft, and the distance contest at 112 ft. It costed and entire $40. it beat all other 29 catapults, and no one thought it would because it was so small. I cant remember where i found the plans on the internet, but they are out there, trust me.
