im part of the freshman class of gft and its great. for any1 wanting to try out u should. its worth it and its so much fun. u can make new friends and even get some confidence.
I truly enjoyed this. Just beautiful but sad as well. God bless those kids and the creator. I somewhat disagree with what the ladies said about the kids being ashamed of who they are when they had problems saying their names. Some are probably shy. I was a very shy kid and I was terribly afraid of public speaking especially when someone said, louder, etc. that only made it worse and made me angry.
I cried my eyes out watching these kids struggle, grow and ultimately find their voice -- loud, clear -- and joyful. I'm sharing this story with my community college writing students, as they, too, are trying desperately to find their voices in a world of constant struggle. Thanks, Leslie Stahl, 60 Minutes and Vi.
Thank you miss higginsen,you are definitely an angel,im glad for you bringing out the best in these kids,but on the other hand im angry,very angry with the parents of Ronda Rodriquez and Gabby Francois in particular,why would people turn their backs on this little angels,children are a gift from god and we as parents should cherish,care,provide,protect and love them,i wish they were my daughters,may god protect the entire group and you miss higginsen.
This segment brought me to tears. Music can be a powerful motivator and as history shows, gives voice to those who are suffering. Thank you for posting.
