The trilogy had it's good moments, but for the most part they were shit. It followed more of the "new" Spiderman, aka in the Ultimate series, and swayed away from the original Stan Lee creation. His web slinging- not because of the spider. It's an organic compound with a device made to "shoot" it out. The spider was also genetically engineered by Doc Oc (no mention) Goblin's suit is completely different, power ranger style. MJ was supposed to be a joke, Gwen was his real gf. I can keep going....

@matt911112 carnage is much more psychotic than any other villain in spiderman's world, carnage actually fits batman's universe better. he's much more dark and brutal and therefore there would probably be more carnage(pun intended) in this movie than in the others

Yeah guys, the popular Spider-Man trilogy has a great deviation from the stories we've read... From my point of view, it wasn't cool at all that almost all of the major characters knew Spider-Man's true identity... Neither was it something like: "Well, the truth is, I am Iron Man"... So, there are bits of the trilogy I didn't like... But it was pretty good... :)

Even if venom is completely destroyed in the 3rd movie, I still prefer a 4 one than a remake. seriously, even if you don't read the comics but watch the movie and you have a good enough idea of peter learning his abilities there's really no need for a remake, it's not necessary. We'll only be watching peter the whole time with hardly any super villains as well as a few reenactments from the first film. If this remake fails interests, IF it does...I'm only going to shake my head...

Sony canceled the film because Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire walked out due to Raimi thinking he could not meet Sony's May 2011 release date while upholding the film creatively and Maguire having script disputes. They were planning a second trilogy but after Maguire and Raimi's depature, Sony opted for the reboot instead.

the reason they are starting over is because is that the movies is because the storyline never matched with the comic book storyline so they are making a reboot called the amazing spiderman

YSM3 bad @ so many levels. I could save the series w/out having to start over. In SM3 eddie brock was edward brock JR so in SM4 have his father, musclehead, Eddie Brock, obsess over his sons death @ the hands of SM on recorded news reports & vow for revenge. meanwhile dr connors/ secretly experiments w/ his sample symbiote, recognizing its potential tries to regenerate his lost arm. In his haste he creates a 2nd, more aggressive, red symbiote & mutates himself into the lizard...>

Yeah guys, the popular Spider-Man trilogy has a great deviation from the stories we've read... From my point of view, it wasn't cool at all that almost all of the major characters knew Spider-Man's true identity... Neither was it something like: "Well, the truth is, I am Iron Man"... So, there are bits of the trilogy I didn't like... But it was pretty good... :)

@chainsawgamer79 Hey, the very first Spiderman comic series has Spiderman using web shooters. How the hell does Peter Parker make instant spiderwebs if the webs he shoots out is naturally straight? Don't downrate the movie until you have seen it. I was pissed that Richard Parker was never even mentioned in the original movies, and I absolutely hated Spiderman 2 and 3. The only good Spiderman movie was the first one. The mastermind behind the first movie wasn't there to help with the sequels.

People bring up Batman when they talk about Spiderman being remade (because Batman has 10 different moves from the past two decades with different directors for each one) but the thing is, the first Spiderman movie was amazing. It's not only amazing, it's the number one super hero movie of all time.

He's supposed to be a MUTANT and if he is a spider-mutant then shouldnt he naturally create webs in his body the same way spiders do? Think about it. Even if venom is completely destroyed in the 3rd movie, I still prefer a 4 one than a remake. seriously, even if you don't read the comics but watch the movie and you have a good enough idea of peter learning his abilities there's really no need for a remake, it's not necessary. We'll only be watching peter the whole time with hardly any super villains as well as a few reenactments from the first film. If this remake fails interests, IF it does...I'm only going to shake my head...

this is my thought.:dr.conners still had a symbiote but dr.C had an new experiment called the human lizard then he injected the poison that would let him become the lizard.the lizard is outraged wipes the symbiote of the table and the symbiote splashes on the ground,escapes then jumps on a police car that arrived because they heard something in dr. conners office the car drives away later cause they couldnt find anything only a destructed lab(they invested it) and drives to jail(cletus kasady)

Sony canceled the film because Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire walked out due to Raimi thinking he could not meet Sony's May 2011 release date while upholding the film creatively and Maguire having script disputes. They were planning a second trilogy but after Maguire and Raimi's depature, Sony opted for the reboot instead.
It really sucks though because me and the rest of my family loved Spider Man and hoped it would of continued.
