  • a tour-de-force for sure. lou slips so easily and subtle-ly in and out of the falsetto and leslie is just the sexiest ever! i'm still knocked out after all these years. thanks for posting

  • Thanks for this fab posting of 2 great artist(e)s? Saw LC live in Manchester UK 1969 and he brought the house down!!! He was probably at the top of his game then. A million thanks for the great memories this has stirred, 5*

  • What a great record, two of the best pop stars in the world., Look at his lips. Free coffee anytime.

  • They were wonderful together. I never realised that Lou was such a gorgeous hunk. OMG, those lips! LOL

  • This track really shows Lou Christie's Vocal Talents----T. Thralls--Winter Park Fl

  • Lou Christy was awarded a degree from Jullard Schoo of music in New York city--If you knw anything about Jullard --You know he has talent--Todd Thralls--Winter Park Florida

  • I agree that Frankie did have a longer career. People can argue all day about who's the greatest but let's not do it here. Even Brian Wilson ranks up there with the great falsetto singers, come to think of it.

As far as versions of "Since I Don't Have You" go: Ronnie Millsap really made the song his own in the early 1980s. Then Buckaroo Banzai in that sci-fi movie. And who could forget Guns'n'Roses' version\?. The only decent song on an abysmally bad album, The Spaghetti Incident.

  • Great performance! these two are class!

  • Excellent duo, by two great performers.

  • I have this 45 rpm on my jukebox, and I think it is a great pairing of two terrific musicians and stylists. Lou Christie is/was one of the best performers on the Oldies circuit. I saw him in Madison Square Garden years ago, and he brought the house down. Totally eclipsed all the other "bigger-name" performers, and the audience insisted he close the show. One of Pittsburgh's finest!

  • They make a Great Pair together , Especially that they're both "Happy"

  • Two great songs & two great singers.

  • I never saw them together, but they seem perfect for each other.

  • OMG! I SO enjoyed that! Thanks!!!!!

  • Lou Christie was the greatest of the 1960s falsetto singers. Better by far than even Frankie Valli. That's just my opinion.

  • Hey that's your opinion and I'm not putting Lou down but I disagree, Frankie was the best and his record is what I'm going by. The Four Seasons is what I grew up listening to and they were still around when The Beatles and the rest of the British Invasion came along. so were The Beach Boys and Motown. Alot of groups and artist just faded away. enjoyed this chat just the same!

  • This duet is available in cd format on Lou Christie: Beyond The Blue Horizon. Great song!

  • They make a great singing pair

  • these two are the best..Saw them years ago

    doing this..It was so great..What a pair.

    the best in the business...

  • I saw both of these performers in person when I was still living in NJ. They bought down the house. They were fabulous. Lou is still as sexy now as he was in his younger days. I hope he comes to KS sometime in the future. I would love to see him again.

  • leslie and lou are two - are two that should be remembered

    always and forever...

  • nice version! but skyliners was better

  • I agree with you...the Skyliner's version of "Since I Don't Have You" was better than Lou christie's....I have attempted to collect singles of this song by other groups...The only one to come close was Bobby Vinton.

  • great job lou & les

  • Love LOU CHRISTIE!

  • Nice time to remember.

  • Pittsburgh STILL loves you LOU!!! :)

  • Have always loved Lesley Gore! Lightning is striking again with this one! Never knew this was recorded! Thanks Brent441 for all your Lesley Gore videos and/or recordings!

  • so sorry,I meant to hit the thumbs up sign and missed.Somebody help me out and give "53's"comment several thumbs up...sorry

  • Just imagine if these two would have Doo-Wop.Awesome is the word.

  • I just love it. Hope it will be a come back production.

  • FAB

  • Great duet! Love Lesley Gore!

  • Very impressive! Great duet!

  • This is the first time I ever heard this duet; I never knew it existed. Lou sounds great in this. Great post!

  • This song was released as a single on Manhattan Records. The B side of the single was Our Love Was Meant To Be. The A side is featured on one of Lou's cds. I think the cd is Beyond The Blue Horizon. Will check and let you know.

  • Fabulous duet! Both were so great!!

  • I think it would have very cool to have done LOU'S HAIR! He's cuter!

  • I saw them perform this in Madison Square Garden @ 1980 or '81 - it was fantastic. Growing up in New Jersey, I was always a huge Lesley Gore fan (I lived only a few miles from her home.) And, after becoming a hair stylist, I did her mom's hair a few times! Those were the days...

  • I remember watching this on tv. I think I even taped it on VHS..it was great

  • This song was performed by the Lou Christie and Lesley Gore as part of an "oldie" television show sometime in the mid 1980's, (May have been a show called Good Time Rock n'Roll hosted by Fabian, though I'm not 100% sure). This duet was never recorded as a single in the 60's, consequently it was never a hit back then. Though had it been made,it probably would have charted.

  • This duet by Lou and Lesley was recorded and released in 1986 on Manhattan Records. The flip side was called Our Love Was Meant To Be.

  • go lou and leslie, hope you make a few more songs together and always will love leslie in her prime she was number one girl singer,,,

  • Yup, this song should have been a hit for them, but then and now, radio stations have their own agenda and most stations here in Calif are cookie cutter clones.

  • It's really a great pleasure to hear these two great teen idols from the early 60's era come together to make such sweet wonderful music together. This should have been a big hit, however time had sadly passed them, and the nation's radio stations did not give them the time of day. However, to these ears they made a wonderful duo.

  • It's not bad - Lou is better than Lesley.

  • I really like Lou Christie but this doesn't really impress me. The two songs do not come close to the originals. However Lou does a much better job than Lesley.

  • Great song. I agree it should have been a big hit.

  • I agree....Two great artists...

  • This is a great song and should have been a big hit!
