  • At 5:00 --the switch tower at Damen--another CTA line switched onto these tracks. That line ran west to about Kedzie and North Ave--it ended service way back when (1950?)--the switch tower is last remnant. Also The Paulina Line used to connect into this Blue line system before the subway was built. The only active part of the Paulina Line is now the Pink Line. The Paulina Lines massive bridge over the CNW tracks at Lake St was still standing into the 1990s--not sure if it still is there.

  • That bridge over the Metra tracks north of Lake St is still there today (Nov '08). Signals in place are still being used on it.

  • I used to take train going to downtown Chicago when I lived 3217 N. Albany.
