  • "This gone get messy." I do love this project. I think I'd make the letters somewhat thinner (just my particular taste) -- and paint them with stone or glossy metallic. Thanks, Meg!

  • you could mix colored inks or watercolor into the wet plaster to color it as well, if you don't mix it in all of the way it creates a somewhat marbled look.

  • This was an awesome project, thanks for sharing. I remember when you made that mirror starburst thingy in the background for TB. That was one of my favorite "your nest needs you" projects.

  • This episode brought to you by the Letter M and the Letter G!

  • What if I wanted o cast them in plastic?

  • ooh, Meg, tattoo, Badass ;)

  • Probably one of your most complicated tutorials yet, Meg and I love it! I might wanna give this a try this weekend. I hate that you ruined such a cute shirt, though!

  • some hints that I learned from plaster course in my school:

when you ahve added the plaster and the water together, elt it settle in for a little while, a minute or two, before mixing it together. Our teatcher told us that it helps even out the plaster, so it doesent ahve that many bubbles in it. When you have poured the plaster in to your mold, about a little over half way (if the mold is deep) make little waves with your finger going down up, down up, to get the bubbles from the bottom to move

  • @narmolania upwards. Less bubbles in the bottom. when you ahve taken out your plaster form, you can use many different objeckt to "shape" it more. You can use a spoon (its pritty good, because youc an "gather" the stuff you take out, easier to clean up) or sand paper. If you want to shape your palster ... thingy more, after it has dried up, make it wet. COMPLEATELEY wet. get a bucket with water and put the palster mold in. It wills tart to bubble, and when the bubbles have almost compleateley

  • @narmolania stopped emerging, take out your plaster... thing out, dry up the suface with some paper and start modling. these were the thing I learned, while we made mold out of clay faces we had made in class. Its real fun to do and easy people, jsut remember, DO NOT INHALE THE DRY PLASTER! when it is in its dry form, it can get in to your lungs, and get "water" in there, thus, you ahve plastered your lungs! wear something to cover your mouth and nouse, just in case when using dry plaster.

  • awwww, cuuute dog!

  • @ThePassionateSheep no one cares...
