So um, where are the parents in all of this? You know the parents have a say in what goes on in school board meetings right? Heck just get a couple signatures listing what you want discussed and a public hearing will be made so u can PUBLICLY call them out and fix what you're not in agreement with. It's easy to change the system you just have to care enough.

I am open minded to your points, and I also agree that sometimes public school codes of conduct are often a croc, but ban of camera phones was from issues inside of locker rooms and bathrooms where students were taking pictures of other people often without their knowledge and to post on the internet.

I think you're missing the connection, deviliousangel235. The fact that you point out that these are the rules almost everywhere and then say "what do you expect" shows how they are using the schools.
The rule doesn't say no photographic phones in class, it says in the "school building", whether you're in class or not.
What's to fear from some student recording what's happening around them, if it's not in class?
If fact, it could be beneficial in terms of personal security. If a teacher or other student were threatening someone, you could record it as evidence.
It's also extremely hypocritical for the school to record everything on their own cameras, by prohibit students doing the same.

Also, Bush expanded the Department of Education during his two terms. This curriculum I'm sure is a product of that very expansion.
