  • Thanks for the product update, but I'm curios to know if after you shampoo your hair. Do you get under the dryer or do you just let it air dry. Because your hair looks really think.....like it might take a long time to dry. Which my hair is pretty think as well, but I don't tend to like to walk around with my hair wet. Any suggestions. Thanks for you help.

  • The Giovanni leave-in is a must. I started using it based on your review. It lasts a long time. A very nice product.

  • I tried a Goya brand coconut oil in my hair and it smelled nice at first but then it was really rank. What brand of coconut oil is that and where do you get it?

  • gorgeous, gorgeous hair!

  • I noticed that you didn't list a regular conditioner. Do you find it unnecessary to deep condition your hair?

  • I don't think it's 100% necessary for me.. but I use regular conditioner from time to time.

  • Does anybody know of any stores to purchase shea butter from?

  • If you're talking about a "physical" store sometimes you can find shea butter from carts in the mall. However, I've found that store bought shea butter is almost always of an extremely low quality.

You are better off trying to get shea butter from a website such as.....

    nasabb/dot/com

    or

    sheabutterhut/dot/com

  • Devacurl

  • Hey ,I love ur hair

Where can I buy the Rose water?

  • check the healthfood store :)

  • hey which is better aloe vera gel or aloe vera juice?

ps. first u said glycerin is in your spritz then you said it's aloe vera gel. : )

  • I don't know which are btter. both are in there.. sorry for the misunderstanding.. recording a video is tedious and you kinda screw up lol

  • i agree! less is more. it's really hard for me to get those specialty products where i live anyway. i've been using a spritz of lavender oil, water, and hempseed oil. i am gonna add aloe vera per your suggestion. i'd love to hear more about why everyone is using distilled water though. what's the diff? thanks!

  • tap water is sometimes hard water..i.e if it comes from wells or springs or so...and sometimes too much chlorine is added in the cleaning process of tap water... these things can leave mineral and alkaline deposits on your hair. this type of buildup on the hair is just not good for the hairs health. also alkaline thing tend to make the shaft of the hair more rough and can even encourage split ends to form. also soap lathers better in soft water, and so less deposits are left if washing hair.

  • yeah.. jaleyna pretty much explains it to a T

  • Mix them! Coconut oil and shea butter is magic!

  • hey autumn miss, you yuor hair good to see your hair again!

  • I love your hair.

  • hey autumn luv ur tutorials! I have tried the clay mask and it's soooo amazing. Very clarifying and made my hair soft. It did dry my hair after I used it, but I didn't dc like I was suppose to (was being so lazy). Oh and I might've had it in too long (I had it in for an hour). So, I had to seal with my shea butter/castor oil/coconut oil mix, and the very next day I had to moisturize w/ my Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter. My TWA has been soft and shiny since!

  • I thought you can get a protien overload from coconut oil????? Anyway, luv your videos.

  • I don't know, as long as my hair feels fine, I won't worry about it. I think we over think when it comes to how often we should do this or that...I say play it by ear.

  • hey autumn..luv ur vids....a quick question: at first u said the rosewater bottle had glycerine, distilled water and lavender oil..But then when you repeated the list more slowly, you said water, aloe vera gel and essential oil. Just wondering which is correct. I'd like to try a spray..

  • there is rosewater in it =)

  • OMG. I love rosewater. It doesn't differ from distilled water, but it smells amazing.

  • your hair looks great...and i agree, the simpler the better...keep the videos coming...you inpsire me...

  • the products you list are about the same that i use and found to be staples for my hair. the big change is the shampoo, i use diluted Dr. Bonners. Lately i've been on a big deep conditioning kick with Indian herbs (henna, amla, etc) and a replishing conditioner. my hair has seen such an improvement since i've been keeping it so simple. oh and my ACV, i keep a bottle stuffed with herbs (nettle, horsetail, hibiscus, lavender) and mix with water for the rinse. thanks for sharing. .

  • your hair is on fire, but i really would like 2kiss, u so adorable

  • I have been watching your vids and you have some beautiful hair. I recently did a big chop and I cannot wait til mine gets to that length!! Keep the vids coming.

  • I Know you're anxious for length but please try to have fun with now :)

  • love ur hair stillll ;]

  • Do you put the Coconut Oil on your scalp ?

  • nope, just the hair really. its gets on my scalp after rubbing it all in but it's not really directly applied.

  • your hair looks amazing

  • Your hair is so awesome.

  • Autumn, is this a flat twist out or two strand?

  • its a two strand

  • Autumn, as usual, your hair looks SOOO healthy, shiny and soft!

You know you're doing something right! lol

  • I love your hair!!

  • cant believe the hair is 3 days old. its still beautiful

  • Hey Autumn! What are the benefits of veggie glycerin, coconut oil, and lavender oil? Is it growth stimulation, breakage control etc???

  • gylcerin helps retain moisture, coconut oil moisturizes, and lavender just smells really good to me lol..If you wanna learn more though, google is your bestest friend :)

  • Wow your hair looks like you just did it, it doesn't look like it's 3 days old looks great!

  • love the hair. just beautiful

  • nah its not better than shea butter! lol its good but not better!

  • i agree shea butter is my number one. I am doin the same as autumn just staying with the basics as you feel the difference..

  • its not better for you..i would say it's a tad bit better for me personally.

  • yeah it is. It's definately natural and has a lot of Benefits. As a an African woman having it used all my life on hair and skin it's great! It's everywhere now! anyways to each it's own! i Find coco oil don't penetrate that well into the hair

  • You're hair looks great!!!

Thanks for the update. That ryhmes. LOL

  • Thanks for the update. I'm lovin' me some coconut oil myself.

For my grit I usually use Dr. Bonner's but since I have been working out more and there's more grit I use apple cider vinager and baking soda scrub at my scalp. Then my mix of peppermint leave in conditioner.

  • i love the aging twist outs too! i've been wearing mine for 2 weeks - with the "touch-up" by re-twisting the front every 3 days. :-)

  • Nice to see an update. Shampoo is fine as long as it doesn't contain known drying ingredients imo. I personally could never go without using something to loosen the dirt in my hair/scalp no more than I could imagine myself taking a soap-less shower & feeling or being truly clean for that matter. Water can't do everything. lol.

Just me. I'm really thinking about trying out the Giovanni Leave-in (they should pay you royalties lol) . As always, you & your hair look gorgeous!

  • thanks
