Psa 137:1 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
Psa 137:2 We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.
Psa 137:3 For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
Psa 137:4 How shall we sing the LORD'S song in a strange land?
Psa 137:5 If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.
Thanks marcosagostos, Rich has been and continues to be an inspiration in my life as I grow closer to Christ. Hate to have him leave like he did, but I guess he did pray that he would go out like Elijah... who knows if there was something more to be seen that what our eyes could see...
This concert is just terrific. Rich is so close to going home to the Lord, and he is in great form here, so full of praise, and you know, full of joy, too. What a loss we suffered, but how thrilled Rich must have been to be at last with the Lord he loved so much. This video is a wonderful way to remember him. Thank you so much for uploading it.
Psalm 138. I agree i admit i was incorrect, i had not perviously known that Psalms were included in this book from as far back as David and Samuel thru the Babylonian Captivity its quite a time-line.
The Psalms were written by Israelites not "JEWS" that term wasn't even around at the time of the Psalmists. I just wanted to let you know b/c sometimes people will claim things like - abraham was a jew, or moses was - which are incorrect statements.
I sense a bald white Catholic. It does not matter what you call them the Jewish people are descendants of the Israelites. I bet Mel Gibson gets mad when people say Abraham is a Jew as well. It is semantics and that is all.
Some of Judah is known in the Israelite world. If you say the Jews today who deny Christ and have done so for going on 2000 years now then you are faced with the dilemma of who John speaks of here: in Revelation 2:9 & 3:9
I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
Those who are known as Jews and follow the Talmud etc. Are at best partially of Judah - and if they are wholly of Judah they will be shifted out as Amos 9 tells. But they are mixed in with Edom (descendents of Esau whom Jehovah hated). Also they are mixed in with Turkic of Khazar whom converted and mixed in with these people around the 8th Century AD.
You're deluding yourself if you actually think they who ever work against Christ are HIS PEOPLE.
I think Christ was ALL about the people hated him being his people. I don't know much about Rich, but I think he would agree that Christ came to show the world how to love enemies!
Excellent cover of Dougie Maclean's tune - a lot of people covered that tune, but I like Rich's absolutely the best!
