I've read that one of the heat sources with these tanks is the stock skimmer, change to a Deltec MC500 and that sorts one problem out and you can do mods to the fans that help also....otherwise it's a chiller....pity these tanks suffer this problem. Good looking tanks otherwise, just not as plug and play as they state...still gonna get one though, as the modding is part of the hobby for me :)

my local stockist sell them for £34 EACH so may just stock the tank with one.

HI how did u get so many corals? does the skimmer helps to make corals grow larger? the 65 gallon protein skimmer is not good for corals to grow? but the aqua clear skimmer will help right? does the surface aqua clear skimmer will help to clean and will help get the corals colors back right?
U have one of the best Max's Ive seen. How do you get your Fungia to do so well in your max ? I got same tank & not having any success with my fungia.
I have a model 130 and do not know what's the difference between the 130d model. Any problems with the skimmer did not have. I do not know how resolve the problem you say? Sometimes it is loud but I have formed muffler. The problem in this tank is temperature. The tank is too warm. Even when I am in a room about 20 degrees water is about 26 - 27 When the lid slightly repealed.
I know the difference between the 130 and 130d.In the 130d package is the starter kit inclusive.But it is also more expensive.That´s the reason why i have the normal 130 ^^
