Great idea but not enough to stave off overshoot of population and consumption. Just a "speed-bump." It's our economic system that drives growth, increased consumption leading to overwhelming and unsustainable stress on natural systems.
Do the math. If we grow our population and economy 20% by 2025 and reduce waste by 15%, we're still putting a greater strain on the climate and on natural systems. BUMMER!
Why white=money, black=without... Because of social patterns, that started a long time ago (by white prejudices)... it's hard for people to extract themselves from the situations they find themselves in, especially when they've little money to improve their options in life. It's compounded by society, by placing similarly poorer people together so it's difficult to feel anything other than hopelessness in their lives (seemingly)... with limited future... Yesterday may be the start of change?
Black people don't have money because it's more convenient to stay home, pump out chillren, & let the govment take care of them. Here in Detroit there are entire families where nobody has held a job in generations. If you are able to read or put together a sentence you are qualified for local or federal high office even without any work experience (see current president).
I don't find this to be a racist video and I'm black. Fact of the matter is that 1 in 9 African American men between 20-34 are incarcerated! Fact of the matter is that we've been disenfrancised and kept down. Statistics are statistics ... we need to get present to this so that we can fix the problem!
