i switched to the 20 turn motor with 19 pinion gear, less speed but after 8 motors i can safely say the 12T is CRAP. truck is best bang for your buck,but watch motors carefully.i run in 20 below freezing and worked great. one broken knukle on left front.Thats it.
PS this truck is as is.not worth the $80 dollar motors. but when your done with it,give it to your kid and go get a bigger one.

@ThePhreeWillie If your not pooping wheelies you should adjust the slipper clutch.....the handbook tells you how...i would go about 1/4 to 1/2 rotation.

@earthling1984 if you clean the motor after driving it will be ok. do this by submerging the entire motor in a glass of distilled water and run it for a while. this will get most of the dirt out. after it dries, spray some electronics cleaner in the motor then use wd40 which displaces any water that may have been left behind.

@ardis922 well u have found the right car but just dont play to much in the water with it 2 reasons one motor will burn out two the wheels will have water inside of em' and will become unbalanced and it will slightly affect your driving

Please be aware that the Titan motors have a reputation for failing. Some modlers do a water break in before subjecting their vehicles to heavy use. I have a clone Titan, and I water broke mine in, and it still runs well in my Tamiya Hornet.

@Aircraftfreak155 They are not nicads, they are ni-mh's.. and the lipo chargers I have are lipo only chargers, they don't do nicad or nimh. Which is why I have the two separate nimh chargers ;p

@Aircraftfreak155 well i showed in the video of my sct on camera, but I am unsure of the exact speeds it was going. If I had to take a wild guess, I would say with the stock battery it went between 8 and 10mph, and with the lipo, between 13 and 15mph.

@impostor71 no I didn't. but it is like 100 degres here. The whole car was dry by the time I was done driving, wheels felt like they were dry even inside to the foam.
if you upgrade to brushless, get the castle creations 4800 kv motor with the mamba max pro! i have that and it is FAST, but you need to waterproof it. also if you need to upgrade the servo get a hitech ultra torque standard servo, but you have to waterproof that too
@AReptileMan This might be a great choice, there is also the rustler. both are strong, and if you get the brushed version then they don't really go fast enough to really destroy themselves. should ;stand up to lots of abuse, traxxas trucks are known for that.
