@mujuma I believe Lykathea Aflame is an amazing Death Metal band from the 2000's, and Suffocation are still putting out good albums and so are deicide. Obscura is a great new band, This is obviously Death Metal/Deathgrind, but because it doesn't sound the same as 90's DM doesn't make it unmetal. You have to search for the new Death Metal bands worth listening to. It doesn't do much to complain about this not being death metal when you should be looking for good shit!

@AQganon well, I'll thankyou for not abusing me like the majority of "Metalheads". New Death Metal bands that I enjoy are Decrepit Birth, Acid Witch and Cattle Decapitation, ain't much but they stand out.

Decrepit Birth being the only modern Technical band that doesn't sound gay, Acid Witch being more towards Doom and Stonner and Cattle Decapitation are Goregrind/Deathgrind/Grindcore depending on the album you listen to.

Death metal has really just killed itself. We are now in the age of what I like to call, Pseudo-metal. I miss the glorious, innovative days of Death metal in the late 80s on through the 90s.
