This was nicely done. It would have been nice to see a few more but obviously coming up with a good story as well as the time to film it (not to mention the expense) prevented you from doing so.
Just so so, for me. I'm an Original Trekker, being 10 y.o. when the 1st show aired. I still embody the wonder of space and science that the 2nd (read: DEAD) ensign displayed. The 1st guy was waaay too jaded for a serious Star Trek character to be. Yes, I know it's a parody but it would have been funnier if they both were optimists doing battle as Redshirts.
Starfleet is a military organization. Averson is the only person wearing the uniform I've ever seen come close to representing an actual military personnel standard.
@DavidORogers THis is great! XD BTW, what was the name of the slightly Elderly reshirt that lived to see the end of TOS and got an action figure made of him? :?
I'm a Star Trek fan, and I appreciate your video very much. 5 stars ***** ! But I don't get the ending. What does it mean? The energy ball killed the one red-shirt, and the other runs away. Why? and where to?
Joe Menosky, one of the story writers of Star Trek: The Next Generation, "infected" other Star Trek writers with it, and as a result the number (or its reverse, 74) occurs in some way or other in almost every episode of this program and its spin-offs Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise. The number might be mentioned in the dialogue, appear on a computer screen a character is looking at, or be a substring of a larger number.
Oh my god that was so funny! I laughed so hard!!!! "Wait, Kirk doesn't say Make it so." "Yeah, well a better captain would." :D HILARIOUS!!! Great job!
(I say this as an overweight person) This suffers the same problem a lot of Trek fan films do. There are NO FAT PEOPLE IN STARFLEET. Being overweight and wanting to play a Starfleet officer should be as out of the question as being a female Chinese dwarf and wanting to play Kirk. Bulbous torsos packed into starfeet uniforms are a sure way to make your film look amateurish. But it had some great lines. :)
This is some clever stuff. Fun to watch. I've shown it to everyone I know and have heard nothing but good things. Even from people who have never seen Star Trek.
That was great! Kind of a drop-off ending, though. But the acting was great, and the special effects were impressive. Good editing job, and the script was flawless! 5/5!
Really good!

phasers were models I assembled and painted
communicators were bought from a costume store
shirts bought at a costume shop (I put sparkle on badges)
pants I had altered by a local tailor shop
boots rented from a costume company
Thanks for watching!
