  • Fluggaenkoechiuebolsen?

    /watch?v=Q01315wBbPM&t=4m10s

    Wunderrrrsex!!!

  • I'm confused ...... is this Flemish or Dutch?

  • P.S. En nog een vraag: hoeveel fouten heb ik gemaakt?)))

  • You've mentioned me! My gosh!

  • It's not boring at all!

I appreciate a lot the effort you make so as other people all over the world can hear your language and learn to speak the basics of it. I'm czech and I'm fluent in french, english and portuguese, but this video was pretty usefull for me, when I was in Flanders. For me, when a foreigner makes effort at least to say basic polite phrases in my language, I take it as a certain sign of respect and I appreciate it. So when I travel abroad, I try to do so too.

    Dank u wel ;-)

  • None of these sounds have any similarity to the sounds you're implicating if you listen to folks in Tennessee...oops I mean Tay ner see uh

  • Sorry, I meant, "I can really say I didn't mind"... That stupid French exam from this morning leaves me a bit confused :D

  • Well, as a German I can't really say I didn't mind how you said "Tschüss" ;) Thanks for the vids, helps me understand the announcements in the Metro in Brussels a bit better

  • flemish sounds like dutch being spoken by a scot

  • @HanStanwell

Indeed. But you need a huge potato in your mouth !

  • thank you, ik ben echt blij met de video, omdat nu mijn vrienden en chili kunnen nederlands leren :D

  • your videos are really good!! I will go of exchange to Leuven the next semester and I want to learn at least the basic things...please don´t stop making them are very useful! =)

  • more lessons please :(

  • Goeie God. Meiske, als'k nogmaals zo vrij mag zijn, gij zijt te schoon voor op Youtube, gij zou op den TV moeten komen en lesgeven! ;)

  • Gij zijt mooi ;)

Ik kom uit Brazilie en ik vind Vlaams zo mooi, een leuk taaltje :)

  • Gij zijt geweldig!! :D

  • The best way to learn to following sound is:

    - u is a rounded i. Pronounce i and round your lips;

    - uu is a rounded ie. Pronounce ee as in "see" and round your lips;

    - eu is a rounded ee (3:20). Pronounce ee, and round your lips.

  • I'm from Brazil and I have good friends in Belgie, I came to visit and I love it!

Besides the well known Brugge and Brussels, I actually felt in love for Gent and Antwerpen!

Not only this quite peculiar region and politics issues, but its language and diversity even in such a small territory! Belgie is zo zo leuk!

I do have a hard time trying to find Dutch classes here, specially with a flemish point of view, so DANK U so much for your videos!

I'm looking for the next one, I love it!

  • Flemish isn't a language, the language spoken in Flanders is Dutch, all the words being pronounced in the video are Dutch words.

  • @bangbgood I know that. But please go watch to videos in which I explain the purpose of this channel first.

  • @bangbgood haha, vlaams 'flemish' is a way more proper anounced sort of dutch

  • @bangbgood Then the Dutch shouldn't mind people stating that Dutch isn't a language either, all the words being pronounced in Dutch are German words..... ?!! Flemish is classified under a different sub-class of West Germanic than Dutch.

  • Very very nice ..This help me a lot

Thank you so much for sharing this

    Bless for you

  • Ben je vlaams or are you British? I'm an American living in Gent and I can't tell.

  • @WaffleCzar I'm Flemish! That's a great compliment though!:D So how do you like Ghent? I live there too:)

  • @FlemishForDummies Gent's great! De Mooiste stad van België! Kom jij uit Gent of woon je daar om te studeren?

  • @WaffleCzar Ik studeer hier^^

  • @FlemishForDummies Leve de gentenaars!

  • @informateurz inderdaad!

  • Wow!!! Please keep this up, i am a 40yr old english man and i grew up in Antwerp and i returned home when 11yrs old, i forgot how to speak Flemish because no one in my school or neighborhood could and i also forgot how to write and read in Flemish, but these video's are brilliant and i'm picking it up, i already remember how to count and call people blocks heads, lol, i don't know why i remember that one, eheh, but thank you so,so much for doing this and look forward to the next one.

  • E , E , week? Hein? Hallo het is MET E!

  • I guess you forgot the letter "T". Anyway, I found the word "tentsletje" for the "t". I hope it's fine.

  • @Strasinsky: You just found the best flemisch word ever invented! :D

  • @livethelifeyoulike Oh, that's quite nice. I liked its sound, the pronunciation and the meaning, of course. Thanks for the information.

  • @Strasinsky hahaha! i lolled my ass of X D

  • @Strasinsky haha, "Tensletje" (Tent + sletje) means "Tent-slut" :D It has been a popular term ever since the media here put it in high-lights :D It's been called best new Flemish word or something like that :p It's a popular word during festivals (from which there are many in Flanders during summer :)).

  • @ABowlDucksoup Oh, thank you very much for the information. Now I'll be able to use it more properly.

  • I don't know why my comment got all merged together. Hope you can read it.

  • I appreciate the time you've spent trying to help us learn flemish. My sister currently lives in Belgium and I'm trying to learn some sentences before I'm going to visit her. I know that this is only your 4th introduction to flemish so far, but I feel like knowing these basic sentences is important for me if I'm going to town. Where can I find...? Where is the toilet? How much for...? No. Yes. Thank you. One (small, big) beer, thank you two beers, thank you Thanks again for helping us.
  • @TheAmazingWhoever Hi there! Thanks for the request:) I'll see what I can do! I have exams at uni but maybe I'll find the time to record a video after:) have a good day

    - eveline

  • @TheAmazingWhoever In belgium, everyone speaks english, so no need to learn where is the toilet .. and stuff ... In addition you might end up saying it to someone who doesn't speak flemish, like a french speaking belgian, a tourist, or a migrant ... Enjoy belgium! :)

  • Neat, another video!

    Cheers

  • for some reason I find this hilarious! chair is STUUL lol

  • welcome back! Love it love it love it! More videos pleaseeeee :D
