Lol its not the Combat Cannon. Its not an AX part either. Its a secret machine part you have to unlock by going to an AX arcade or use an Action Replay. Its called the Maximum Star.

but its funny as hell, i was on the saphire (i think thats the name) cup on expert. First race through third-first place. Then, the fourth, i almost got 1st, but it reset on me, and all i did was laugh, i dont know why it resets when i go to fast, my gamecube cant handle it.

You trying snaking this course then...see if you can get within 10 seconds of this record (which is ~3 seconds faster than any other). No one has even come close to getting a clean run that uses all the shift boosts - it's actually extremely hard to get fast times on OSMS.

Basically 50Hz makes it much easier to set faster times because it slows the entire game down. It takes 1.2 seconds for 1 second of real time to pass...giving you a lot more time to react.

Mad Andy's video comparison shows the massive advantage 50Hz gives you - search for "Mad Andy 50Hz"

Some PAL players used to set times at 50Hz, record the replay at 60Hz, and pretend it was a 60Hz world record.
