@MeZakiyah In fact this is one of the few songs on the album that Simon Le Bon did write this. He had some serious writer's block going on, because he was very unhappy, John was gone, and between Warren being a total control freak and Nick's own perfectionist tendencies he felt like he was being cut out of the creative side of the band, so he got writer's block due to being depressed. But THIS song is one of the few he did write. I've read this in a variety of places.

In the late 90s DD stuck out their neck and came up with two albums with a very distinctive, highly original and ofter very experimental sound. The sound is created mostly by Nicks brilliant synthesizer-effects, which are very much on display in this track as well. Pop Trash is a highly underrated masterpiece! And this was the first video ever to be created entirely with Macromedia Flash!

@levisguy53 amen and agreed. i saw DD during the Pop Trash tour, at least, 10 times. i still remember Simon's sultry strutting moves to "Mars meets Venus". Playing with Urianuim was awesome. i loved Hallucinating Elvis. fans that saw that tour will not soon foget Simon in his Elvis sunglasses (and sometimes feather boa) and crazy/funny antics on stage during that song. that tour brings back so many happy memories for me. one of the best summer's of my life.

This album made me cry when I first heard it, a difficult time for the band, but probably the most unique and creative period Duran have ever had. I dont care who was or wasnt in the band at the time, its still Duran.
