Crime-ridden Arkansas town - West Helena Before the 24-Hour Curfew

My church participates in the ACC challenge that they have every summer and it was tough there when there wasn't a curfew. I'm glad that it's shaped up some though. The last 2 summers we taught a swim camp, it was very successful. Unfortunately I think 2011 was our last summer there. We drove by your pawn shop every day in our big purple bus. Helena-West Helena born and bred. Not surprised. My hometown has turned to shit. Thank the good Lord I left in 1999 when I graduated. When I do visit, it makes me violently ill. I was born there and I live there up until I was in 5th grade and I was so glad we moved away especially now that I saw this video. I had no idea that all this was happening there.

Sorry you have to go through that. Infringing on peoples rights is not the answer. Where are these kids parents? Are there parenting programs in the area? Are there parks and activities for the youth? This is really sad. I don't think that the cops and the mayor are capable of taking care of the issue. Sorry I don't support this illegal curfew. I don't think it will work long term and I think that this is just a precursor to bring martial law into other cities in the name of violence.

If the second amendment was respected, there would be less crime. Helena is a victim disarmament zone, and soon under the nation's messiah Obama will put us under total martial law.
