How many hours of practice goes in to reaching this level of skill? I'm 21 and have absolutely no experience with piano or any other instrument, but I have long thought about learning how to play, especially some rock piano or boogie rock n roll etc.
@lemmedasker It all depends on yourself, I personally think that you can reach this skills after just 2-3 years, if you're serious about what you do. This playing was a long time ago (2007), meanwhile I play really different. Just try it, take some lessons, remember, the beginning is the toughest part for everything!
I don't know what everybody is talking about telling you to stop using the pedal, but some of the best blues guitarist play using legato techniques. B.B. King wouldn't like people dishing on legato.
Hey JazzPati, thanks for your comment. This vid is already old (2007) and i improved a lot since then. As said above, the pedal thing was a major mistake I made, but i don't do it nomore. I chose the C scale because it was the first vid and at that time it felt easier for the left hand to play the bass in C scale!
'That can't be in the key of C. To me it looks like the key of B, i may be wrong, but thats definetly not the key of C, cause your using E flat, F sharp, and B flat constantly.'
Thx for your opinion, i've noticed shorty after uploading the video. It's the fact that you're not really listening what you're playing, just having fun. This video is 'old', now i play the same version but 'better' if I could say it like that. What is your real language than?
That can't be in the key of C. To me it looks like the key of B, i may be wrong, but thats definetly not the key of C, cause your using E flat, F sharp, and B flat constantly.
i dunno if it is beign played in c but it looks like the jazz scale. cuz u use a universal base line thats used in jazz. and Bb, F# and Eb are the only black keys used for jazz. keys for jazz scale are: C, Eb, F, F#, G, and Bb. looks like jazz scale would b what im gettign at
Everything is amazing except for the morbid amount of Sustain. The piano sounds amazing and I mean AMAZING but it sounds like you are using just a tad bit too much sustain. Sometimes I couldn't really hear because all the notes were running together but you know who the hell cares just play it the way it was meant to be played. YOU ARE AMAZING!
COOL! i wish i could play like that! but i think my senior would say something like it lacks direction.. like it doesnt have a proper climax or something. BUT I LOVE IT ANYWAY. =D
hey, this is what i like to play but find it hard to get the right sheet music to learn. can you help pls? check out me and me mate on keithpamphlet part 7.

Thanks for your comment, TheZombieJC. Hope you had the chance to see BB live, too!

@TheZombieJC In this context pedal not a great idea. Boogie style should be mostly percussive. Some nice feel though.

Nice Job, ...
but please use less pedal, get a felling in rhythm, tune your piano, and learn better scales than just the simple blues scale in C.
But well done...
