  • I have always loved this redetion of this song!!!

  • GO(O)D

  • this what everyone on youtube should upload with music if they don't have footage!..instead of just uploading pictures! thanks man

  • i just ate some mushrooms and that sounds fantastic!

  • Bands likes Zeppelin, Floyd, Doors, Hendrix give you chills? Are you physically attracted to music? I AM!

But If you think this is good well...Introducing my channel. IT attempts to open your mind up to a whole new world of musical truth. Don't forget to CHECK it OUT & subscribe IF U LIKE IT! <3muchlove

  • @HyperBorealOperator who knows what blk ppl think of him, jimi was his own man

  • these patterns can be seen in jimi's mind.

  • Jimi' impro!!!..Yeah Soound!! :-)

  • That intro is fuckin sublime!

  • JMH never transcended race or politics. It would be more accurate to say that he never let race or politics define or limit him. Lots of black people liked JMH, and in fact , his influence was huge on numerous black musicians (see Motown 1969-73, Funkadelic, fusion in its early days, neo-blues, et al.) He embodied the cutting edge black aesthetic while embracing world culture. His music was inherently political and revolutionary, which is why the Black Panthers sought to tap his cultural power.

  • He shows some awesome focus in this version. This seems like the slow and precise feel of the 2nd winterland set. was the rest of the concert like that too?

  • @Lachsalve yes, as I remember this is one of the best if not the best concert of jimi...took like one or two songs in...and then he went nuts completely of any standard and at the end had to be stopped...there were like 7 songs out of this world that night! i mus tsay, Copenhagen nowaday sucks compared to that time....sad to see islamic streetterrorists also take over Danish life!

  • fuckin awesome solo!

  • this is coming straight from cosmos

  • @HyperBorealOperator Definitely wrong 2 take a sarcastic tone to another, highly charged place. I know a lot of people (black and white) who might mean more than I did in saying that, I was simply being mean for it's own sake. & it was by no means fair painting with the broad brush here, given how painfully aware what a minority I & other black folks who idolize Jimi represent among our own. That said, JESUS, MONICA, COULD YOU HAVE HANDLED THAT MORE INEPTLY? THANKS FOR FUCKING NOTHING! (sorry)

  • even hendrix at the age of 60 would've been amazing to see

  • HA, this is good !

  • that punk bitch Michael Jeffery, he is lucky i didnt get to him first.

  • @Lordhendrix70 Damn Right He died a few years later Though

  • WOW!!! I absolutely believe he was a rare gift to us all, I love his music and his spirit!!! I just wish I could have been around to experience it live. Long live Hendrix and his beautiful gifts!!! peace

  • theres a brilliant rendition of this track played at sweden, the intro is brilliant. sadly its been taken off youtube. if anyone knows its whereabouts give me a shout !

    peace love!

  • @guitar19904 Yea it's so annoyng it's probally Sony again who takes all Jimi related stuff down.

    Jimi said himself:

"When I die, I want people to play my music, go wild and freak out and do anything they want to do"

  • @useapen

    so true !

have you heard the sweden rendition? its brilliant i even kinda learnt how to play it. it my all time favourite intro to any of jimis songs

  • @guitar19904 I'm not sure maybe do you have a link for that one?

  • @useapen no no no its gone ! it is THE best hey baby intro i ever heard, it souns very similare to this but is 1000 times better

  • oh and this version sounds like shit. jimi , tune up in between songs bro !!

  • @ncbloom @#$* you

  • @ncbloom @#$* you

  • @ncbloom @#$* you

  • @ncbloom @#$* you

  • @ncbloom @#$* you

  • @lgrove21 me love ya ! thanks for the positive feedback

  • sure we all know jimi was the greatest guit-fiddle player of all time. but he also wrote excellent tunes. i feel he is always underrated as a song writer

  • @ncbloom

i love the lyrics for castles made of sand.

and his tunning sounds fine stfu

  • Check out my version.

  • Nice version, Jimi is on form here.

  • I have always believed that Jimi was murdered. It was almost a sin to be black before the 80's. Jimi's music sounds like it was recorded today.

  • @mnight207 yes i believehe was taken by ???? you know who i mean

  • It's all insanely good. Just wanted to show a friend a certain part on previous comment. Glow on......

  • 2:46 - to wherever.....

    -pierce my heart-

Jimi didn't play guitar. He played Jimi.

  • Havde man dog bare været født i 40'erne, så man kunne se ham...

  • ARRRGH Why the fuck could I know have been born just a bit earlier why god?! I live in Copenhagen for your sons sake!!

And then I would have been able to see him live =(

  • A beautiful version. He debuted the song in L.A. in April, which I was fortunate enough to attend.

  • thanx a million.could watch this all day.

  • you on shrooms?

  • I've always loved this song. The European dates he was playing around this time were often uneven, partly because Jimi was fighting some glandular problems and not getting nearly enough rest. This show was just a few days after Isle of Wight and stands out as the best from the short tour.

  • Thanks Sabtahi13 for keeping this version available for all to listen to. Jimi, always the master of innovation, sought to reinvent himself and recreate newer and better sounds with all his tunes and that is the beauty and genius behind the great body of work that he left us for the short period of time that he lived and played.

  • i love this MAN called (JimI Hendrix),this man was God before many AX players was born.please take me to the New Rising SUN.

    I READY

  • wow...first time i heard this song from jimi...all i can say i wow...incredible

  • lots of people cant HEAR jimi.....which is a shame as they miss the greatest virtuoso to have created art in any form since earth began...he was a very sensitive guy....that came out in his playing, a true Compassionate human being , a man of wonderful energy....the world is a worse place without him....fly on jimi, fly on.

  • dude i know what you mean, some people just hear a bloke playing a guitar, and cant appreciate the beauty. hey, at least there are some who can!!!

  • unfortunatly my parents cant stand jimi... I feel sorry for them.

  • Tell you're parents they are douchebags. Not offense, that just what you are if you can't stand art.

  • Outrageously great. Pure genious. I feel sorry for the people who can't hear Jimi. I mean really HEAR HIM. ~cg5

  • yup, i konw some ppl that only know purple haze and the likes, this is why i love jimi. He just played with soul

  • is this God speaking through guitars and amps? This sounds comes from the Source....takes me to heaven....thanks!!!!!

  • ...we're gonna spread a whole lotta love to you and you.... This tune certainly evokes a feeling or vision of a newer and much better world, at least that's how it's always hit me. His totally creative spirit is absolutely amazing here. ...just a little truth....and understanding...that's all....

  • I couldn't agree w/ you more valleyofiorion... he was playing this song SO much before that tragic day... he was trying to spread a message - a message of peace, love and unity, I think he was hurting inside, on an emotional level and his soul just wanted to be heard... to be this expressive you must also be sensitive to these things as well. Never knew the man, but I miss him.... RIP Jimi

  • The best Hendrix concert I ever attended! Period! (I actually was at all his concerts in Copenhagen). He was carried away from stage by his roadies after playing 2 solid hours. Came back after a while and played on.

I was there with my friend Kasper Winding - and mourned three weeks later, when he passed away. Actually I came to live with friends of Monika Dannemann from October same year.... Never got the story right apart from his taking a sleeping pill after a cocktail party.

  • Amazing that you got to see this show, I've owned the bootleg for 15 years and I am still in awe of it. My opinion it was the best performance of his last tour, and the pictures from it show how much of his heart and soul he gave to the crowd. Too bad there's no proper recording, it'd sell millions and probably be his greatest posthumous release.

  • I attended Hendrix' CPH concerts -69 and -70. They were very different - Hendrix changed much - the latter concert was far best! Hendrix was not burnt out - murdered 15 days later.

  • murdered by Jeffery ????.......probably when Monika slipped out so 'buy some cigarettes'...........don't buy the idea of Monika pouring the wine down Jimi's throat......but Terry Slater, Gerry Stickells and also Eric Burdon were also at the flat.....all of them associates of Mike Jeffery....so tragic that all they seemed concerned about was 'cleaning the place up' and hiding drugs etc. rather than trying to get help for Jimi-or was he already dead by then...Monika got his blackie strat..RIP Jimi

  • @martinammentorp i stil believe there was more to jimi`s demise than the public (us) needs to know

  • Hendrix was murdered

  • you are very lucky

  • @martinammentorp Would that be because Monika quickly realized she needed to be ashamed she neither turned him over on his stomach so as to clear his vomit-clogged windpipe--thus allowing him to breath--nor called EMS immediately instead of phoning Eric Burdon (among others) to get a musical slant on what ought to be done in such a situation? Thanks, blonde chick! Once again, white people to the rescue of the black man. (Please see my channel's musical favorites b4 responding).

  • well, if the title of the video is correct, Jimi played in my home town just 15 days before he died. I should have been there and said "Hey Jimi, take it easy on the 18th, that shit will kill you". Unfortunently I was not even born yet. Jimi whereever you are, thanks for everything.

  • thats a nice comment

  • I agree! that is a nice comment

  • You can tell Jimi was really on his game this night. Endless ideas. If you listen to the six versions from his last tour they're all very different from one another. This one is the best though. Good pictures taken of Jimi at this show too.

  • Yes, definitely, meantone13 says it best.

  • Its about the synergism value to interpret life and the world with the guitar. Highest score available for Jimi..

  • For me he was IT as far as guitar players were/are concerned. As for the blues, both Clapton and Hendrix and the older bluesman taught me a lot.

  • Very ethereal version. Jimi's music was so incredibly expressive, and especially seen here in "Hey Baby".

  • what do the lyrics mean?

  • The song like 1983..., and Valley of Neptune are songs of escaping from the old world and heading towards a positive humanitarian heaven-like utopian of peace and unconditional sharing through love beyond the universe. It just proves his song writing skills were just as ingenious as his complex guitar work.

  • Now come on brother, Jimi isn't GOD, but he was and still is the most talented and creative human to ever play a guitar.

    J 1 M 1

  • If there is a god.. god has touched Jimi.

  • Jimi IS GOD!

  • People that don't like Jimi's 1970 live playing usually just like his studio work or 1967 live performances.I listen to mostly his 1970 shows. They are mindblowing...

  • It's such a saddening song yet it's also filled with determination and the hope for better days ahead.

  • yea you summed it up perfectly.

  • can u please put the rest of the show.please!

  • the sound.....he is the Immortal Hendrix...

the video is very boring....don't try to make another video like this....

  • jimi was a god's prophet

  • I love Jimi....made a tribute song to him...him...Jim Morrison...Janis Joplin and John Lennon... I want to jam with them someday in the clouds...

  • i put it up here yesterday but they took it away check out,, Unbenanntes dokument ,, hope you get it this time

  • but he could not drink it all up cuz the truth is jimi collapsed at a party earlier at 4 in the morning and was brought back unconsiuous to his apartment and some p[eople we know heard about it and they did what is mentioned above and he could not react cuz he was dozed and drugged from the things they put in his drinks he really had no friends they were all vultures around him he did not talk till 6 as the girl said he was allready dead at six in the morning the ambulance mens story

  • @blackdude57 ill personal message you lol

  • yeah man people are murdered and its outa sight yeah thats true man so open yr mouth now and swallow the pills man.... reall slow now baby ... and you get some wine from daddy to down it with ok????? so be a good boy and drink up hmmmmmmmm ??????????? yeah thats my boy real slow now drink it all up baby the whole bottle hmmmmmm?????

  • Just amazing !!! Outasite, man...

  • The show u guys are talking about- Jimi was very tired and got really drunk before the show, never shoulda been allowed onstage. I think he did an extra show in Copenhagen to make up for it, which was much better. My fave 1970 show is Maui- in late July. Same prob happened at Newport 69, maybe from acid, but the make up show the next day is a classic.

  • You mix the Aarhus show (2/9) with the Copenhagen show (3/9). The first was terrible, the latter supreme!

  • chck out,, jimi in denmark 1970 .,, om the net he did well during the day but there was something about going onstage that frightened him during his last days he thought hwe was gonna get shot and he he had pain all the time in his stomach when it came time to play jimi was afraid of something and he did not trust nobody after the drugbust so he kept it all to himself

  • hendrix, always hendrix

  • hey baby (new rising sun

  • As a guitarist myself,I feel I can qualify to comment on this version from Sept.3,1970 as absolutely beutiful and heart wrenching, just try to play even a little like this,it`s almost impossible no matter how good you are!

  • you dont have to play the same thing he did that day but he was only soloing around the chord changes if you do it often you will get real good at it and it sounds real strange to other people mostly we play around the scales etc etc but he did play around the chord changes since he knew the guitar in the dark he could crop all the notes in one place

  • example of following the chords are power of soul , midnight, the solo on wind cries mary, little wings, and some other songs like the solo of bold as lovecheck em out and learn the style its a little difficult to folow at first

  • what do u mean when its difficult

  • prolly its difficult

  • hendrix introduces the first tune a Star spangled banner like take on god save the queen by telling the crowd Stand up for your country and your beliefs and start singing and if you dont , fuck you,,

after finishing playing he tosses his guitar carelessly to the ground and walks off

  • maybe they told him in january that he had no more money thats they had to pay for the studio and the old contract and the law suit about drugs and so on cuz from then on he was a very down person and he played very bad then and was cursing onstage often and saying many bad things in the mike

  • This sounds amazing to me impro music is always hit or miss if the stars aint right

  • ok folks wanna know the real story? september was a month of sadnees for jimi check out SugarMegs Audio for more oinfo on the dates you will feel the sorow by yr self hearing the 2nd septemebr show ta Risskov Denmark intro ,freedom ,chat tuning , message of love, hey baby, mitch mitchel drum solo cuz jimi couldnt play anymore

  • what is it called?

  • hey baby new rising sun

  • lol i kno what the songs called im talkin bout what the guy above me from b4 said

  • after p message of love which he could not play weel and could not enter the third verse and he did not finish it he started fooling around on the guitar struggling with his fingers and started hey baby

  • than he played a real bad message of love missing words all over

  • message of love is now on TRIBUTE TO JIMI THE LAST DAYS FROM BLACKDUDE CHAECK IT OUT ,,ACTUALY I FORGOT WHAT I WAS HERE FOR... ..

OH YES MESSAGE TO LOVE RIGHT ? MESSAGE TO LOVE??

  • when finished playing freedom he said << Thats what freedom is about>> in a sarcastic way then he couldnt remeber what he was going to play next and he murmered ,,Lost count< and you could hear people laughing

  • i have to correct som things in here my comments on this video are almost correct but the date set here is wrong it must be 2 sept 1970 thats why i did make somte mistakes in my comments

  • @blackdude57 idk man are you sure you've got the right concert? He segues from message to love to hey baby to all along the watchtower!! He's not just messing around with this fingers or whatever lol i mean at least idk how someone could seamlessly transistion three songs in a row if they were messing up. I know this song is pretty sad but that doesn't mean its not good every version of machine gun is really sad you're telling me none of those are good?

  • @ripcurl979 transitions means nothing to a genius its what you hear that makes sense t is like 12 days from the day he died he started playing very sad and down from januari 28 at madison square remember what he said back then >. this is what happens when earth fucks with space and that meant the end of everything but I think you guys dont really understand it its a very complicated story and by the way jimi is not just playing guitar he is painting stories and if you dont feel sadness ?

  • If you guys know how to feel music you will hear sadness and sorrow in those tones there is nothing nice and cool about that song its all sadness his feelings were real down you can hear it if you know jimi

  • its so sad

  • Yet beautiful. Jimi, we hardly knew ye.

  • It's depressing...but it lifts you up. Jimi's music is beauty beyond words.

  • that is so right. I do feel kinda sad when i hear this song, sort of in a good way though.

  • blackdude, couldnt agree more! cant even listen to this. if anything, it's a good example of how everything was coming undone in those last days for jimi. i think the whole downturn phenomenon was a combination of a number of things, not the least of which his feeling vastly ALONE and alienated from everyone who really had no idea what he was all about. also manager jeffries involved in unnamed mafia, who once even kidnapped him at gunpoint 3 days.. etc

  • yeah it was a sad time for the man and he was really dead byu then as he himself said onstage on 1 of those concerts someone said it was not on this date but my info is that he played on the 3rd and on the 6th those were his last concerts

  • @blackdude57 I mean if you're only judging it from the point of view of it being "rock music" like wild thing and foxy lady yea i could see what you mean it doesn't rock as hard but he was playing more jazz and funk influenced stuff then there's a different set of criteria there.

  • @ripcurl979 i really did not mean any of that like jazz or he was very unhappy maybe you dont know the whole story about those last days he would die like within a few days from there and he was not happy with anything he really didnt care to play as he used too there were pretty bad things happening around jimi when he was playing this song he didnt want to go onstage cuz he thought he was going to get killed by who ( black mafia) maybe jeffrey owed them money the guitar says it all

  • @ripcurl979 hey man Im 54 I should know what wild thing and foxy lady isi feel better withrecordings of war heroes and all the unknown tapes you guys have never heard so its not about judging anything its about his state of mind personal feelings Im a guitar player and came to understand what hendrix was really doing he was not playing guitar he was painting scenes with his guitar you could see them and this is a very sad sad scene he is painting here its the end of the story yes the end

  • i have to coorect myself oan the one who posted this as 3 september 1970 . its not right its 2 september 1970 at Risskov Hallen Denmark and that one was real bad too jimi was either drunk or drugged he played only three songs and mitch mitchel finished with a drum solo

  • @blackdude57 Three songs? There's at least 9-10 songs in this concert and i think its a great show from the songs I've heard man and a pretty long one from what it seems.

  • thgis ladys and gentleman was jimi,s second worst day of playing no matter what you may say first jan 8 1970 ithink im right or maybe jan5 and then september 3 1970 he was again laced with acid by somebody

check out <Thats What Happens When Earth Fucks With Space> with cap letters as written

  • Haven't heard this for over 30 years! Where did you get your hands on this? The Guitar break is just beautiful..............

  • Check this video, of an alternate version of Little Wing:

    watch?v=rmEVJV_g87k

  • This was nice and layed back, just like meeting a girl that you really dig and want to play it cool, then she tells you she's from outer-space.

  • IMHO I prefer this song as preformed at Atlanta 7-4-70 or Fehmarn Sept 6th 1970. The best though is the studio version-- I still have the original vinal of Rainbow Bridge that featured "Hey Baby"

  • Spleen!

    The guitar sound is fantastic

-is Jimi bored with the voice settings

    RISING sun, hey gypsy boy.

  • jimi is struggling to play just as madison square garden he was laced again by somebody and even if it sounds good to you its not he is fighting to play there man you can here t his hands chuckle with the strings its so sad man he played dome weird stuff though that sounded like good anyway but its not

  • yes, sound was the wrong word as it is awful,

Spleen black out and dizzy feeling. Too slow and wake.

see it's the emotion communicated through the guitar that is sublime.

    7rainbow

    waves.

  • never heard this before. tight!

  • There is a very good existing 8mm film of this show and multi-track recording, too bad they selved this show and re-hashed DVD's we all seen before.

  • That stuff really needs to be officially released. Experience Hendrix is barely doing anything to preserve the man's genius, it's a disgrace. They need to quit selling the merchandise with his face plastered all over it and focus on what Jimi was all about: his music!

  • Jimi with the highest gods and spirits

malmsteen, holdsworth, halen, vaughan, benson, ford etc...talents but just from this earth , he was faraway he was in a spiritual nirvana.

  • Nirvana! i wish i coud do that.. like, have a "usefull autism" =D

    well, pull a fatty =)

  • Man I love Hey Baby, it's my favorite Jimi track of his later years. Can you send this to me? Or tell me where to get it? I've got the entire Gothenburg concert bootleg on audio from Sept. 1st, just a few days before this one. Both are great

  • almost brought a tear to my eye

  • Just pure magic. Great stuff.

  • Thanks for the track. Very telling. Hendrix is a few days away from the grim reaper what comes across is a very tiered burned out guy, this is exremely depressing. Thanks again. A sad must listen.

  • You are wrong - I attended the concert - Hendrix was very alert and did a great performance! He was not tired and outburnt.

  • I say you are both right. This has always been my favorite version.

  • and did you hear him say he was dead a long time now i during that concert???

  • no, Hendrix said that the day before during the concert in Aarhus.

  • he said ( in adrunk fasion < Give us a minut to aaaah try and tune ok and then he said < Welcome to the electric circus in a sarsastic way and sounding like drunk or drugged then he said Our first song will be called freedom in a drunk fasion and sarcastic

  • if this is the 3000 people free concert its sucks he refused to go out more than once, so the girls had to talk him into going on and he was asking all the time if they think he would reach 28 I think he was beeing menaced since january at madison square garden check out,,thats what happens when earth fucks with space,, and ,, jimi in denmark 1970,,

  • Great Cut - Thanx for the post! But "Hey Baby & "Hey Joe" from Isle of Wight (4 days earlier) are the finest versions of those songs I've heard in 35 yrs of listening to Jimi...

  • Yeah, the Isle of Wight version of this song is the best in my opinion

  • i cant find them

  • i like the bad quality of the sound. gives it a hendrix feal. no joke :D

  • One of my fav Hendrix songs

  • Wow, this is beautiful. Is this playing over your computer? I wish I could hear it better.

  • Yes, sorry... I may dub over the track and repost at a later date, but the music speaks of Magic and Beauty at any volume!

  • what album is this off

  • No official release of this Copenhagen concert yet from Experience Hendrix, so look to traders circles for a copy.

  • its Risskov Hallen Denmark a DAT Master tape which in itself is slower than normal but it was a real bad show check out Sugar Megs Audio for the whole show

  • Thanx for posting this rarity ! Last sounds of the genious...

  • you call it ararity check out sugarmegs adio for the whole show man jimi was real deadman he struggled to start the song after a real bad message of love and his fingers were failing him all over and you call it a rarity like its a gold gem come on man

  • he wasn't a guitarist. he was a sound-paintingist. that's the audio representation of art ur hearing there. jimi was a god's prophet. read what he had to say about love and god if can't hear it. peace/godblessU.

  • thanksyou verymuch!

  • One thing about JIMI....nobody sounded like this then, these were new sounds falling on virgin ears. Siphoned thru a stack of posuers and sound-alikes decades hence, this stuff still stands out as the jewel that it is, was , and always will be....period.

Hey, check out the favorites I've culled from Youtube of Jimi.

  • love thsi song .. can find no words just love it.. can hear all versions of it every version a new feeling thats the reason why i love to hear hendrix play..

  • Awesome stuff Grasshopper!

  • I could listen to the tones Jimi plays around the 4 minute mark for years and not get tired of it! He really left it all on stage...

  • As potent now as back in the day

  • Hey Baby you know how much you miss me...

Hope there is another world to meet you...

    Thanks Grasshopper... peace and happyness

  • Good to see you back kickin some hendrix jams again! Great version so sweet and clean.

  • I love this version down my third favorite. My 1st favorite is from Rainbow Bridge Maui, Hawaii 30/7/70, 2nd is Blue Wild Angel IOW 30/08/70

  • Good job sabtahi13. Thanks.

  • Please call me Grasshopper... All my friends do! Play on, Brother, Play On!
