u dont need a scba for wildland. and b22 that was a captain btw and he did have all necessary ppe for wildland. he just didnt have web gear on but looks like they just stopped to put out the shed and tree
i remember this day, i had went to get a bucket of water to diminish the lil ember but then when i turned around the whole thing was on fire. The water couldnt get the fire out so we had to use the tractor. only the hay stack and 3 tacksheds had been brunt down
The chestnut horse with the flymask on in 0:07-:10 is my horse, Skippy! (my youtube namesake) Dunno who that is leading him.. but thank you!! ;;! The horses all evacuated and have returned. No one got hurt. Thanks for posting this.. it was neat to see my horse on someone elses youtube account!
Exactly where is this stable? I used to live in Twin Lakes, and boarded my horse at a place on Topanga called Thunderhead Ranch that was across Topanga from Stoney Point. I know 9 homes were burned at Twin Lakes, but haven't been able to find out exactly where. I now live in Alabama.
This was at Stoney Point Ranch. Evidently, Thunderhead doesn't exist anymore. They sold the land for development in.. 2005? i think. I remember thunderhead =)

Why is it that fire engine officers never have their PPE on? Just because you where a red helmet does not mean you are immune to DEATH....

A beautiful chestnut Hanoverian gelding that belonged to Kamala died in the fires. My heart goes out to her and her daughter Isabella.

That guy is Mike Lee. He owns Race Proven Motors; he's a good guy. He was stopped there by the road closure and jumped out to help out the horses.
