Not pointless....trust me, some people don't know how to simply part off their hair or their client's hair properly. Basic cosmetology reference parting. And...this is Pivot Point....this teach reference points of the head form to give precise haircuts, perm rod and roller set placement. This may seem basic, but very important when you get into more advance cutting and styling.
