The music of Yes is immortal, the band members unfortunately not. I'm just grateful that this boy has followed his inner voice and that he was in time ready to replace Jon. A healthy Jon Anderson would be my favorite. Unfortunately, it is not so. And for Steve, there is unfortunately not a talent in sight, which could replace him at some point.. Not even in the distant future. It takes more, than one perfect guitar technician, to let sounds sound as if it were a living guitar with soul.
This show, at the Westbury Theater, was in the round and the stage rotated both directions. There were times when Benoit and Chris stepped off of the rotating stage, and walked around the perimeter. Nobody's seat was far from the stage, but it sucked when their backs were facing you. At least you get a great view of Alan playing the drums when this happens.
Was this concert sold out? I was going to go but was short cash. Last time I saw them was at Jones Beach. First time I saw them was at Nassau Col., Relayer tour.
Your seat must've been at the side of the stage (my place had that too). It almost looks like you did this from backstage. You did manage to get a great deal of the show. I'd like to see a whole one done on camera.
Now I'm just waiting for clips of the Upstate show where I was last night. These clips of different venures may seem cookie cutter, but maybe the fans wanna see one of the show they went to. Long Island and some of the Tri-State area have your shots.
yea I'd love to see a dvd of this. in NYC & CHICAGO I didn't see any cameras so I don't think we'll get anything from there. but I really wanna see a dvd of this along the way :D
"And You and I" was my favorite of the night at Westbury. And I can't believe that they played the whole Close to the Edge album too! Definitely the highlight of the night for me. Your mileage may vary. Thanks for posting the video.
