  • I was on that one. Started off at Wembley.

  • @KylieRamone I am hoping to be able to re-digitise this film with a better quality image. This time I will use a camcorder and not a digital camera in video mode. It all depends on whether I can get my film projector repaired (I hope so).

  • why did u take it with a silent camera! i wanted to know wat tehse locos sounded like

  • There is a simple reason why I used a silent camera. It is all I had.

  • okay i disdnt know that thanks

  • btw, Sarah Siddons will be working some railtours on Sunday 14th September. So if you can get there you will be able to hear her then.

Services will (I think) be between Amersham & Harrow-on-the-Hill. Also in use will be the preserved 1938 tube train.

  • See, electric locomotives CAN be beautiful and have personality.

Unfortunately the New York City Subway over on my side of the pond never used locomotives, we've had multiple unit trains from the beginning back in 1904.

  • Another great film, these coaches were just used on intercity routes, and not on the Gatwick Express route, Gatwick did not use Mk2's in Blue & Grey livery.

  • Thanks - I have now updated the video info to remove the reference to Gatwick Express.
