Wow! she the best thing ever to happen to Christmas, I look foward to seeing her perform every year. Thank you David Lettermen and Paul who does just an outstanding job.
If Darlene was 25 - I would be floored... The fact she is 73 is - well - UNBELIEVABLE. It honestly wouldn't be a Christmas without watching her Letterman performance (and I saw this as a Brit, who doesn't even get to watch Letterman normally unless I seek him out on YouTube!) but her Christmas performance is legendary and I hope she keeps doing it for another 20+ years! JUST MAGICAL!
perhaps the best kept secret in all of show business - the annual Darlene Love "Christmas, Baby Please Come Home" performance on Letterman. This is must see TV.
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! Belated congratulation to Ms. Love on being inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. She looks and sounds absolutely wonderful. I live for this performance on David Letterman every year!!!!! She is just like fine wine - get's better with time!
Ms. Love has been truly bless to song as she does. Ms. Love has made millions of people inspired by this song. A song that will lift your spirits. Just Love It. God Bless Her.
... and I believe the blonde singer behind her is her sister Edna Wright, lead singer for the 1970s group The Honeycone and also a Phil Spector session singer; she does the lead with Darlene on Wait 'til My Bobby gets Home ; )
Now, if Darlene was judging x-factor or Idol... I would watch! I would know she would know what the hell she was talking about! this is a real singer right here ya'll!!!
I'm amazed and impressed by Darlene Love, what a voice! What a talent! She still is one of the greatest female singers. [You may keep the other ones.... ].Every year I search for this traditional and every year this is a great event. Goose bumps...everytime I hear her singin' . Darlene, you are simply the best!
I just love, love, love Darlene Love singing this wonderful song on Letterman, every single year!! What an amazing voice! This really is one of my favourite things about Christmas every year....
What an awesome voice! I get goosebumps every year when Darlene sings this song. And kudos to Paul for his musical production. Excellent job by all! Merry Christmas everyone!
Superb, now it's Christmas! Gets better every year. Thanks to Dave for keeping Darlene's music alive and thanks for CBS for putting up an HD version so quickly.
Props to Letterman, and especially Paul, for helping this amazing artist to remain in the public eye (and in the hearts of her many fans!) Let the Christmas countdown begin! Thanks for posting!
