lynyrds skynyrd was a gym teacher at the school that the band members went to. They named their band after him. and i gotta give you credit for the creative name. Must be a border hopper who just realized his green card was worthless.
@systemfan777 This is where your WRONG! They had a gym teacher in school named "Leonard Skinner" and so they tweaked the words to "LYNYRD SKYNYRD' Btw my last name is SKINNER :)
@fuckamerica109 One of their teachers,Leonard Skinner kicked them out of school because of their long hair,so to be sarcastic they named the band after him.To make sure he didn't get pissed,they changed the name to Lynyrd Skynyrd.
