  • I LOVE this song. It brings back memories of the '70s. I am from Washington, D.C. and I heard this song for the first time on "WHUR". The D.J. was Melvin Lindsey (R.I.P.) I wish they still made music like this.

  • yeah!!

  • @Belayer4u agreed this is a brilliant record i've always liked it

  • Is it me, or does most of Donald Byrd & the Blackbyrds music make you want to take a long drive on a warm sunny day with the top down on the convertible? I bet it's not just me, a lot of you feel that same way, don't you? lol. Great post.

  • aint it funky though !?

  • This song, along with "Walkin' in Rhythm" are my two favorites by this group. The beautiful, haunting melody, with the funky rhythm and snazzy vocals make a wonderfully unique song.

  • Very true

  • Funk and Quiet Storm at its best! Again, a wonderfully unique song.

The original release was a bit before my time, but this was HUUUGE on the London rare groove scene in the early/mid 80's

  • I love Donald Byrd! I saw him perform that live, it was magical. This is favorite jazz cuts of all time. Did Donald Byrd write this one?

  • I'm not sure, but this is my favorite too. I'll look it up and let you know later.

  • From the sounds of it I'd say this was something that Fonce and Larry Mizell wrote and arranged - great writers, producers and musicians.

  • Stetsasonic " Talkin All That Jazz"
