  • This just looks poor. Dumb songs and just a dumb idea all together. I hate this trend of making every movie into a musical.

  • gay.

  • Blasphemy.

  • my history of broadway professor at Montclair State is the composer and lyricist!

  • Leg lamps and stripper music. What a combination!

  • i saw it today mine was better

  • is raffie surpost to be blonde?

  • horrible. disgrace to the movie, and to Gene.

  • If Daren McGavin were still alive he would make this show more interesting!

  • stupid idea making it a musical

  • okay i'm a bit confused..is this the same Christmas Story musical that's now playing in Seattle?

  • Whoa, wait a second. The waiters are no longer Chinese, an no longer sing 'Fa ra ra ra ra!!??'' Political correctness claims another victim. I haven't been these disappointed since the Superman reboot changed the quote to 'Truth, justice, all that stuff.'

  • @SysElim Yup.. He was asian in the Seattle production, but the punchline of that entire scene, was apparently deemed disposable.

  • I think the boy got stuck to a pole should have sanf this song

The strings of my heart are tangled mess ohhhh mess it's beating hard it's jumping out of my chest ohhhh chest I tried to fit two girls in my soul ohhhh soul I ended up stuck to a pole he got stuck he got stuck worst of luck stuck, stuck to a pole!

  • some things should never be made in to plays.....this is one of them. I'd rather watch the movie

  • @doombuggywa THANK GOD I am not alone. I was gifted a ticket, and went out of politeness, and spent the entire show wanting to find the person responsible for this sacrilege, and punch him in the dick.

  • Meh. No offense or anything, but I don't think A Christmas Story is cheery enough to be a musical. Yeah, I know I'll get bad comments. Bring it on. It's just my opinion.

    The actors seem great though.

  • @LlamaSims2010 Doesn't seem like it'd hold a candle to Philip Grecian's stage adaptation....

  • @LlamaSims2010 How about Urinetown, Les Mis, Oliver, Sweeney Todd, Rent, Assasins, Cabaret, ect. The list of un-happy musicals really does go on and on. All are wonderfull, succecful, and great musicals even though they are far less cheerful than A Christmas Story. Cheerfulness isn't the deciding factor as to whether or not a show will work out.

  • This is going to start playing at the Fifth Ave Theatre in Seattle on November 26th. Thanks for posting this preview. It actually looks like it might be pretty funny!

  • this looks soooooo funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OMG!!! Is that the Mother the lady who played the Baker's Wife in Into The Woods? She's so amazing!

  • No, the mother is NY actress Anne L. Nathan. She is incredible! She last appeared at the Rep in A FLEA IN HER EAR as Lucienne.

  • The musical director was just phenomenal! What a wonderful job directing both the orchestra and the actors! Terrific show!

  • PC version! HUMMM...
