Meh. No offense or anything, but I don't think A Christmas Story is cheery enough to be a musical. Yeah, I know I'll get bad comments. Bring it on. It's just my opinion.

The actors seem great though.

@LlamaSims2010 How about Urinetown, Les Mis, Oliver, Sweeney Todd, Rent, Assasins, Cabaret, ect. The list of un-happy musicals really does go on and on. All are wonderfull, succecful, and great musicals even though they are far less cheerful than A Christmas Story. Cheerfulness isn't the deciding factor as to whether or not a show will work out.

No, the mother is NY actress Anne L. Nathan. She is incredible! She last appeared at the Rep in A FLEA IN HER EAR as Lucienne.
