I havnt read all the coments here but what im getting is that someone was comparing Pique and Puyol to Maldini? Pique and Puyol are top Defenders but Maldini is a God ligthyears ahead of any Defender today even T.Silva! hes the greatest Defender ever and 1 of the top 10 greatest players of all time, he played for 25 years and for 24 of those years he never made a mistake and thats a fact, he was unstoppable and was the best Defender around for about 23 years which is beyond imense. Ledgend!

They had no world-scale star, but the team dominated the Europe and even world through the brilliant tactics and team-spirit, courtesy to fantastic coach! Asia and Africa are clearly coming in with big steps, but they still have a long way to go, as Europe and S.Amercia have almost 100 years advantage.
