Alright, lemme give a review to this lesson. Compared to other videos in the style of Zakk, this one is just right! Other lessons in Zakk's style usually get his style wrong, or teach things that he rarely plays. This one focuses on licks that Zakk play in his every solos!

@artistled I know he uses a Marshall (JCM 800 i think). Wah wah(often), chorus(some times, Reverb, (often the neck pickup on the guitar).

I guess alot of treble and some mids, bas.

He also uses his overdrive pedal which works more like a booster(i have one, its great).

No way I can play that fast..yet. But why the hell are people complaining about him doing so. It's not like he doesn't clearly explain what he is doing..and no he is not playing random notes at all, it is a fairly simple lick that anyone who has been playing for some years can recognize..If this is too complicated for you, though I don't see why a 4 note lick should be, there are plenty of videos for beginners. He is a great teacher in my opinion, and a great inspiration.

Don't get me wrong, they were awesome when I needed them, but now I'm sweep picking, playing complicated string skipping riffs and licks, etc... etc.... So these more complicated videos interest me more.

@bullshitproof actually zakks style is very similar to randys style, except more aggresive. There a whole lot of pentatonics in randys playing too. There is not a whole lot of theoretical skill needed to play like him, but to make your fingers play like that takes quite some skill.

@bullshitproof the bridge pickup might be an 81 since the logo is yellow, but the neck pickup is definitely an 89 or 81tw since the logo is orange. Most likely an 89. The logo on an 85 is yellow. Also the stock pickups on most new hellraisers are 81tw/89
