  • Take a letter.....the letter V....which Italian city is famous for a leaning tower ? The leaning tower of Visa ? Eh - I'm sure she didn't grab the letter P ????

  • Was it real food used as the gunge on crackerjack?

i know that since the saturday roadshow with Noel the gunge was natrasol

  • @DANWOODHOUSE The "Burnt beans" really did look real. There was an interview with Stu Francis that I heard on the radio years ago and he said that the "Gravy that was used on Floella Benjiman was real gravy. So who knows......

  • @DANWOODHOUSE I think there was a bit of a purge on food-based forfeits on kids' telly (on the BBC at least) once the news of the Ethopia famine broke in 1984, as dumping beans, etc. on people (even if past sell-by date) suddenly seemed a bit unethical. As you said, Edmonds' gunge was mostly natrosol-based, and I think the forfeits on the final, 1984-filmed series of Crackerjack may well have been as well (to be confirmed). gc

  • This edition was transmitted on 11 November 1983 - I know because it was my 10th birthday. Loved it, certainly brings back memories.

  • Thanks for this, brings back memories. Do you have any more?

  • Good facefull taking there Mr Wilkie! When was this on Challange?

  • @dancingduade Christmas 2002, part of a season of classic gameshows.

  • If Crackerjack was on nowadays the kids would not be winning the crackerjack pen they would be winning the crackerjack iphone!
