  • This video is ruined by the irritating high-pitched noise that we can hear for the entire duration of the video.

  • saw moe once on the streetcar coming back from the motel strip after a night of coke (me on coke not moe) too fucked up to talk too him in 1989

  • Leslie Stanwyck

  • Does anybody know what the dark haired womans name is?

  • Those Amabile sisters were pretty cute. I'm surprised there is not much on the web with them in it. With their talent they probably could have continued to make it in the music business.

  • Moe Berg makes me want to forgive Canada for Celine Dion and Justin Bieber.

  • @gizmokc So who's gonna make us forgive you for George Dubya?

  • The more you listen to this song, the more epically awesome it becomes.

  • Love this album.....especially love back up singers/guitarists. Met them at our College Pub after the show!!

  • Man, this video would crack me up when I was a teen! His hard rocking finger pointing is awesome.

  • How come "The downward road" isn't on Itunes?

  • Thats pretty much just what I looked like when this disc came out. I bought the CD because I saw an ad in Rolling Stone or something and Moe looked just like me. Very cool album.

  • Anyone know who the girl singing with them is?

  • @rangerzep83 Yep, it's Kris Abbott. She's in an amazing accoustic band now. Check out their tracks. Very chilled, very good! krisanddee[dot]com

  • @RobNickel001 nice. nope. very short hair. But i do have a dorky singing voice and sing about heartbreak and love lost. peace

  • Rock & Roll.... all I can say is... . . . . . . Always about falling in love or heartbreak. Doesn't get any better than that. Love TPOH

  • Used to see them all the time. Moe is a blast!

  • Moe is my music production teacher!

  • How in f---k did these guys miss?

  • Awesome song!

  • they had label troubles with Chryalis and that ended thier entire run.

  • Everyone who sees you thinks you should be smilingThat girl she's so press, that girl she's so beguilingEveryone who sees you thinks you should be happyThinks you should coo-coo her and start acting all sappyBut it's(Chorus)Hard to laugh when you know that she's been cheatingHad her hands around him and she's been giving it a beatingHard to laugh when you know that she's been lyingBut you've got to laugh to prevent yourself from cryingEveryone asks you why you're so serious'

  • @WPGinterceptor

Cause your woman's got a body that would make most men deliriousYeah, she's got a body of that you're painfully aware'Cause everytime you see yourself you want to pull out your hair

  • Damn...these guys were freakin amazing...Met Moe when he was a bartender/ DJ @ Lee's Palace

  • Damn...these guys were freakin amazing...

  • im from the states and canadian rock is way better than the states. dont get how bands like poh, trews, hip, big sugar, odds, sloan, wmm dont/ didnt get huge they have talent and good songs. its a shame

  • @treworfalse because they don't sell out at the drop of a contract. i'm ashamed of nickelback, they did sell out and it shows.

TPOH is as canadian as they get; music for the sake of music

  • aahhh. This takes me back to Toronto in the 80's. Good times. Love junk was the first CD I ever purchased (all vinyl till then). I didn't even have a CD player at the time.

  • I remember seeing them open up for the Hip at Fort Henry in 1990, I thought they were going to crumble the walls around the place.

  • This brings back some teenage memories...Love Junk was a great album

  • @Magnanime30 I saw them for free at Frosh week at Ottawa U in 88 or 89. Best free concert I ever saw.

  • @sagman68 Lucky you :-)))

  • Don't know why this album didn't sell well in America! It is an "totally awesome" album...for real!

  • Ah America. The land of McDonalds and ignorance.

  • If all Canadians are gay , then are all Americans stupid? Probably. Oh yes and I'm not gay thanks.

  • Yow! That brunette was some hot but it's been 20 years since. Wonder how she looks now...

  • @sawmonkey

You mean Leslie? Yeah was damn yummy then. So was Kris the rhythm guitar player. I saw TPOH EVERY time they were here in Saskatoon! Too bad Leslie left the band but she did start her own: Universal Honey (she's on myspace). She still looks good. Nice and milfy!

  • 2:01special kiss!

  • I've seen them 5 times :)

  • I remember playing this album at earsplitting volume between classes in high school. On a Walkman.

  • No Canadian band did a better job at the three minute, three cord, rock & roll song then TPOH...Moe Berg...where is he now?

  • @JTTJ17 Moe Berg lives in Toronto and works as a producer and writer.

  • @jenzeppelin - hey, that's great. I went to see The Odds at the Baysville Arena in 1995. There were definitely Kids in the Hall hanging out...nice to see theyr'e still collaborating. Wickedly good songs. My son used to sing "Heterooooh Sexooooel....Maaaan" at the top of his lungs in his car seat (age 2) Of course he didn't understand a word of that song, now unfortunately, he's 16, and he understands!

Great guys too bad the were so underrated..

  • Why so serious? Hahahaha I couldn't resist!

  • I love how they work the backing vocals... this is such a TPOH signature with the women repeating the lead vocals... It sounds so damened good...

  • don't it, tho? (sound "damnened"(don' worry -- I know what you meant) ) good? Snare drum popping like a damn .38 snubby in a bathroom....those girls, those danged Canuckian GURLS always singing back there, sounding freaking GREAT. Gits fuzzed up just right (maybe a TAD too much chorus on that lead, but what the hell do I know. Answer : not a lot.) It's AMAZING power pop, Philter....maybe the best ever, IMHO...

    Best Regards, Moe Berg

    ..........hee hee.

  • Those damned Canuckian women! Ha! Have you heard of Alannah Myles? Great Canuckian singer, great band at her peak.... Want to see some more hot Canuckian backup singers, do a Youtube search for "Someday Glass Tiger"

  • I'm amazed that my dad let me listen to this song so much when I was a little kid.

  • It's called the style of music. Just like how all a/c d/c songs sound the same. You are probably an ignorant yank, seeing as how all the great rock bands come from CANADA!

  • @2707694 Watch the yank shit would ya? Raised in NY. TPOH Just happened and still til this day remains one of my very fovorite bands! I even jumped the border to drive up to Toronto to see them A couple times. All the great rock bands come from Canada,HUH??? Oh!!!! I see your an Opus fan are you?

  • moe greenberg is one talented motherfucker.

  • actually his name is moe berg. I used to roadie for them.

  • brilliant

  • peace0ff - your comments on this video are a fraudulent mask of the bigoted racist hatred you openly urinate onto other YT videos. You are a middle aged blathering chunk of expectorated primate bile wallowing in your dead mum's vaginal cheese. This also goes for your alter-ego neo80s and your other personalities.

  • Hey pyewacker001!!!! You're an idiot!!

  • Who says I am Canadian? I just appreciate music that does not suck.

  • I love this group.Anybody got KILLED BY LOVE?

  • Typical xenophobic response (see above). TPOH, Tragically Hip, Max Webster, Teenage Head, to name a few ..... certainly rocked my world in Barrie, Ontario during the 80's!

  • Best 80s bands?! Are you sure you Canadians know what you are talking about?

  • Saw them three times at the Misty Moon in Halifax........Super cool!! Does anyone know if they still tour? Love the Moe!

  • I agree. I loved this group when I was in college. The two ladies are probably the best backup singers I ever heard. Does anyone have a ong they did called "Feels For You"?

  • It isn't called 'feels for you' it's called ten fingers. it's on love junk

  • Not only do I agree, but I saw them In Kelowna,BC at a nightclub called "Flashbacks" In '97. They sounded great and It was one of those magical nights that I will never forget.

  • One of the very best 80s bands. Don't agree? Blow me.
