@408ezekiel At a pricetag of $6 billion dollars, you could put a full electric 4 track line from San Jose into Oakland and perhaps the approach to the Altamont pass, allowing for trains every 5 minutes versus BART's 15 minutes.

because everybody here in L.A drive a car and never take mass transit. you know the bay area has much better transit system than L.A.

VTA Light Rail is the worst. It's so freaking slow even for a light rail line. I really enjoyed the Gold Line in Sacramento, but I gotta say VTA sucks and I can't imagine why anyone would prefer to fund it over BART to San Jose.

the light rail in Sacramento are actually VTA's old light rails...VTA LRV isn't that slow, when you're in downtown VTA LRV goes slow, but when you're on the middle of the freeway it starts to go fast
