  • Comment removed

  • man, i ain't going to lie, it's the first time i heard this freestyle/song and i'm 23, makes me hating hip-hop music these days

  • FUCK THIS ARGUMENT.... EITHER WAY OFF THE DOME GETS MORE PROPS... BUT EITHER WAY THESE NIGGAS GET PROPS....AND ALL I KNOW IS FREESTYLING IS DEF NOTTTT READING LYRICS OFF A BLACKBERRY

  • @KingLILMANn Believe it or not my man your still wrong.

  • Ok, I'm gonna have fun w/ this then. Freestyle isnt a rap term, the phrase freestyle literally means that whatever you're doing it's without boundaries/parameters. Doesnt matter if it's dancing, rappin' or riding a bike. So stop tellin' people that a few rappers said that freestylin' can be written, even if the most respected rappers ever al agreed they would be wrong. Writing something down and rapping it is a song, what makes it different? because people havent heard it before? c'mon

  • @DaleG3476 So wait, what are trying to say?

  • Throwback!!!

  • fire fire fire

  • Jada sound like a teenager on this

  • Yooooo!! I had this mixtape that had this on it . it was a bad boy mt. but it had one with Joey Genovese, Heros die Coward get killed, everything is real was a part of it. shit was dope. Its on this mixtape i believe. who got this mixtape!!!!!

  • B I g p o p p a

  • B I g p o p p a

  • god you can tell in styles n jadas voice they were young as hell!! even had great talent when they first came up

  • 2Pac would sound dope on this song! if only they could of peaced it up. Sigh.. R.I.P. to the G.O.A.T.s

  • @chillsdaweatherman 2pac was a ok RAPPER at best. This post is about the greatest M.C. (BIGGIE) and the LOX's ripping a track. Let's kill the 2pac talk please. The guy wasn't alll that as a rapper anyway.

  • @TheGawoods he mastered the melody of rap, which was unheard of at the time. Lyrically he was alright. But I was just saying I wish it didn't have to be like that. Them beefing and all that. What made him all that was his strong passion and subject matter. But yeah enough about Pac. We'll save that for a Pac video. The LOX & Biggie demolished this shit.

  • @TheGawoods Lol at Pac being only an okay rapper. That statement alone just shot your down your credibility involving any opinion you have on hip hop

  • @kob456 True heads know Pac was whack. Stop putting pac and biggie in the same class. The guy studied balet in high school. the guy is a want to be thug.

  • @TheGawoods Who cares what Pac did as a child in school? Biggie attended Catholic school and grew up a nice good kid in a nice middle class area according to his own mother. I guess that makes Biggie a wannabee in his raps also right? Lol at saying true heads think Pac is wack. The hip hop heads you must talk to must have Souljah Boy listed as number 1 on their lists. U must be one of those bitter ass Biggie fans still mad that 2Pac had the upperhand on Biggie in life and in death

  • @kob456 Check your facts, Biggie out sold pac with every CD he dropped. Pac was the greatest female rapper of all time.

  • @TheGawoods Lol at every CD Biggie dropped. 2 fucking albums. Pac only lived to see BIG drop one album and in that time period, Me against the world and All Eyez On Me both outsold Ready 2 Die. Maybe you need go get your facts straight or get your head checked. Don't even compare an artists with 2 albums to artist with complete catalogs. You only end up failing.

  • @TheGawoods dude just because you like one better than another don't say some dumb ignorant shit, Me Against The World was all he ever needed to be known as one of the best, but his body of work and work ethic is impeccable, i like them both, i like big L and pun too but i don't discredit one because i happen to like one more than the other.. Why you so mad son?

  • Shiit erybody went in on dis track...But my god..My nigga B.I.G aka Frank White aka Da most shady..snapped on dis mufucka..classic shiit!

  • big murked this track

  • then BIGGIE comes on the track and kills er body VERSE

  • True hip hop this is what we need to get back to

  • @immamonsta27 Yes pleeeeeese I pray everyday

  • Bad Boy Records was a true dynasty, they really had everything on lock even without the help of the internet....no hiphop family can compare to Bad Boy during their reign....no wonder 2pac and suge was so mad and jealous! RIP BIGGIE!!! Your mafia theme, is bitten by every other hiphop family LOL

  • @jcruces1

Imagine if he had lived. Life After Death was expected to hit #1 even before he died. Just him promoting that album and touring. Videos probably for I Love The Dough and whatever remixes were gonna happen. No Way Out was ready to follow, but The Lox, Mase and 112's albums lacked Big's voice.

Then of course there was The Commission with Jay-Z. Don't forget Bad Boy's relationship with Missy Elliot and Aaliyah which of course would've included Timbaland. Imagine the possibilities.

  • @jcruces1 no-one apart from death row.....

  • Classic, young people this is music

  • oh my god. kiss sounds so fuckin young.

  • @THEEConnorLange Yes his voice is barely Raspy..I barely recognized. Very premature be4 his signature laugh

  • @SaskatoonStoner420 That link takes me back to youtube homepage, plus your wrong, there are rappers from earlier than the 90s like mcs even from the 80 and 70s WHEN HIP HOP WAS CREATED, freestyle isnt just a term used for off the dome. Freestyle isnt restricted to just off the dome otherwise it wouldnt be free would it?? it would be off the dome style, freestyle is a style of rhyming with no limitations, whoever says otherwise its there opinion not fact. get it straight.

  • Mr.Jupiter, youve served your purpose well. For your patriactic acts of hip hop, you will be rememberd into the Hall of Real Niggaz. Thank u for sacrificing your time to explaining such wisdom.

  • @Creolethug mr thug-it took 6 seconds to type. and i've seen it a million times on youtube "this aint a freestyle, its written"..so its funny of you to drop a sarcastic comment like that (indirectly) but half of the youtube population do not kno this and claim to be hip hop heads.

  • @ShallahJupiter7XL lol my nigga i wasnt ENTIRELY sarcastic but yeah that was real talk wat u said

  • you guys are fags for arguing so much over youtube about a minor detail.

does it really matter if this was a freestyle or not? its a good fucken tune, appreciate

  • @zukarius its actually a very good thing to argue about....retards think freestyles are off the dome when rappers since the 80s been explaining its a double meaning word, "written" or "off the head"..

  • @BiggieSmalls11111 actually a 'freestyle' from an eastcaost rapper means it's a free verse that he's not getting paid for... a westcoast or down south rapper freestyling mean's it's off the dome.. not to mention free.

  • @ureoqur haahah wow....no disrespect to you bro cause you came at me calm and collected...but it boils my blood to see brothers creating new random shit for hip hop terms...the term "freeverse" doesnt exist....someone made that up to seperate spitting writtens from spitting off the dome...freestyle is freestyle...there is spontanious (off the head) or a freestyle rhyme you have written....2 different meanings same word...freeverse doesnt exist new school kats made that up 100%

  • A freestyle is either someone coming off the top of the dome to rock a party or concert or if someone jumps onto another artists instrumental this has always been known..

  • lox>biggie

  • "rollin blunts with the williest of the willies"

lastly... who has smoked willies? I live in Maine and had a nice connect

  • EVERYONE goes in hard tho

  • SP owns this shit... absolutly no disrespect to Biggie, but I play Styles part like 3 times in a row every time I hear this track

  • I'm 30 this is classic hip hop

  • I love Hip Hop...just hate the niggas thats in it now.

  • 90-s rap....thats all i have to say..., i dunno about todays music

  • i would give anything to go back to the good old days

the golden age of hip hop / rap

  • @mdomales85 same here bro

  • Niggaz is talkin it, but ain't livin it,crystal pops I'm sippin' it, mob hats and lizard shit....

  • respect to the niggas commenting this song. thats wasssup that you not the only one who is in this type of hip hop!

  • I used to love beats with this pattern...Still Not a Player...Who You Wit II...the 90s <3

  • @pimpinmyplaya92 this is an 80's beat though-EPMD your a customer instrumental..this right here was a freestyle.

  • @ShallahJupiter7XL word? i know its a freestyle but I remember how Diddy used to sample 80s beats...and these patterns were my fav

  • Comment removed

  • @blazeofglory00 yeah it is, i kno puffy used to do that and he might of added one noize to the EPMD instrumental-but this was a one off freestyle track for bad boy mixtape volume 3 by stretch armstrong that dropped in early 1996...trust me-i copped it then.

  • Comment removed

  • @blazeofglory00 your one of those new jacks who think freestyles are strictly off the dome?? do the knowledge-learn the history of hip hop and what freestyle means - it can be written or off the dome..every mixtape since the 80s had emcees spitting written stuff over other peoples beats and there called 'freestyle' i mean check nearly every classic 'freestyle' there all written. real heads know what freestyle means,a 16 bars or whatever for a mixtape or radio recorded in studio or where the fuck

  • @ShallahJupiter7XL freestyle's from the eastcost are always prewritten.. rappers from the west and south actually go off the top.

  • @ureoqur yeah i know.

  • @ShallahJupiter7XL word yo i agree.

    -HipHopHead187-

  • @ShallahJupiter7XL really why did eminem say its improvised with the roots on a song bro wtf and lots of rapper say its off the dome

  • @360blunt You are incorrect, Eminem has also said that he writes freestyles.

You know how the movie 8 mile is about battling?? Ok, the song eminem recorded about the movie 8 mile called lose yourself, was also about "freestyle battling" in that song he says, and i quote,"Hes nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready to drop bombs BUT HE KEEPS ON FORGETTING WHAT HE WROTE DOWN....." why would he talk about remembering what he wrote down if freestyle was supposed to be off the dome only?

  • @BiggieSmalls11111 but on interviews and on songs he claims freestylin is off the dome not writin bro it more respectable and get more probs as a rap artist if you just spit off the dome not writin it down really i never really heard dat from to many people that freestylin is writin material

  • @360blunt LOL, Would you like links to videos of rappers literally saying freestyles are written?? I have no problem shutting this conversation down now. Rappers even before eminem have said this. Matter of fact, technically, the mainstream only goes by freestyle being ONLY off the dome, why would you go by their definition of the term?? And FACT, in New York, rappers have even said, "you LOSE credibility if you spit off the head because you have a built in reason not to be critiqued".

  • @BiggieSmalls11111 yea let me see them bro the links to videos bro and let me get those rappers before eminem say that

  • @360blunt K, check your inbox for the PM, im gonna send a couple videos of Big daddy kane and organized konfusion and grandmaster caz explaining first, all before eminems time, and ill try to find the one with gza and kool moe dee, i think his was in a documentary so it will for sure take a minute to find. But the others are on their way now, Peace.

  • @ShallahJupiter7XL its actually new jacks that think that bull shit.. Freestyle is off the dome, check the art of hip hop learn your shit brotha.

  • @Vitonli freestyle can be off the dome or written brother-so says GRANDMASTER CAZ (hip hop originator), KRS ONE (the teacher) LL COOL J ( the greatest of all time) CRAIG G, SUPERNATURAL (the greatest freestylers of all time) the 80's and 90's mixtapes with rappers kicking writtens and its named a freestyle, nearly every 'freestyle' on youtube.etc etc etc.check your shit brother i've lived this shit for 24 years.

  • @blazeofglory00 and before you comment back and disagree with my knowledge of hip hop again (its been my culture since 91) the whole freestyle point i just made has been said by cats from krs one, craig g, ll cool j, to supenatural, rakim etc.

  • @ShallahJupiter7XL You know nothing keep jacking it in your cave, a perfect example of a freestyle would be the lox over the "You Know My Steez" Gang Starr instrumental. This on the other hand is an actual bad boy track with diddy on the boards so stfu IT AINT A FREESTYLE BUD

  • @blazeofglory00 funny you didnt even know what freestyle actually meant before i schooled you so dont bite the hand that feeds you.plus what album is this 'actual bad boy track" on? it was for a mixtape..freestyle nigga.Bad boy did things with class back then-a freestyle sounded like a song cause they did things different--that 'lox' freestyle over you know my steez was on a dj clue tape (which i also got AT THE TIME) and wasnt a Bad Boy promotional freestyle for a Bad Boy Mixtape like this one.

  • @ShallahJupiter7XL you schooled no one a freestyle is either off the dome or rocking to someone elses instrumental, this is not someone elses instrumental you are a douche bag go suck dj clues dick

  • @blazeofglory00 this is EPMD - your a customer' beat new jack..and looks like you deleted your "its not a freestyle my dude. this was def done in a studio and everyones rhymes excluding biggie were def writtin.. " comment -hahaha that means you definitely got schooled and you know it.

  • @ShallahJupiter7XL it was derived from the epmd instrumental but its not the actual so there for its not a freestyle you know nothing you will never know anything I deleted previous comments because they arent relevant to the actual argument here which you think you won meanwhile i was right all along. the fact that you even know what i previously wrote makes you a turd burglar go jump off a bridge if you think you schooled me karate kid

  • @blazeofglory00 and by the way, freestyle doesnt even have to be a written over someone else's instrumental it could be your own, depends what its used for and the context--but thats something else tho, something i cant be bothered to explain and keep schooling to you...you will learn tho.

  • @ShallahJupiter7XL yea you did school the fuck out of him...this litterlay happens 100% of the time with me schooling someone...only thing they can do is keep denying freestyle is also writtens....

  • @ShallahJupiter7XL dont bite the hand that feeds you? another misuse of a phrase. you should really consider getting that GED homie it looks like you need to brush up on your school work you dunce

  • @blazeofglory00 god man your really vexed hahaha. i will never know anything? haha, i've just realized your mental age. i got 5 thumbs up on me schooling you, dont be mad, take the L and keep it moving.

  • @blazeofglory00 a perfect example of a freestyle" coming from the dude who thought freestyle meant 'off the dome' and not 'in a studio' hahah get the fuck outta here.

  • @ShallahJupiter7XL lmao its been my culture since 91 you sound like such a herb!

  • "Yeah, Iight then you betta act like ya know/ L to the O, X amount of flow/ Ain't nuttin' change, but the Range since I got that inf/ dot on yo' head, take all yo' strength//... Forreal tho, screw y'all/ I never knew y'all./ Ya clique be like yellow lights, I'm running thru y'all"- Jadakiss #FavoriteParts

  • I had this on the DJ Clue Summertime Part 1 mixtape (when mixtape's were actually mixtape/cassettes)... #Classic!

    jada killed it

  • That nigga sheek went too fucking hard!

  • where can i find tha instrumental,if any1 knows please tell me peace

  • Yea, with Colombian niggas mothafucka.

  • How the hell can you say Cassidy jadakiss run out of ideas? Kiss has plenty albums that r dope as shit. An u already kno was good wit cass. Try not to make retarded ass comments if u dnt kno shit about rapp. An big l?! Lightweight? Ur Smokin crack my dude.

  • @MrRemy71

So what new ideas have Jadakiss and Cass have then? They are dope MCs I dont deny that, but with a rap style that relies a lot on punchlines it's next to impossible to make a complete album that is full of new ideas. As for Big L i said his voice was Lightweight, the tone of his voice meant he didnt have that distinct gravitas like other recognisable voices Biggie, Tupac, Nas, Chuck D, Dr Dre, DMX, Big Pun , Busta..et al. As a lyricist yes L probably the nastiest punchliner ever.

  • @Ken4Twenty

i like the way you plugged the word 'ignoramus' in your rant there...so classy, so contrived, i suppose you're trying to stand out on youtube hey...u trying to stand out and be that guy who uses buzz words, u'd like that wouldnt ya...so them kids be like 'oh yeah, he uses them words, so he must be a hip hop head lets put a thumbs up'...PATHETIC...if you gonna make an antithesis to what i said, at least back it up with stats and facts not this emotive howling that was your post.

  • my fav biggie verse he goes in

  • jadakiss sounds so young

  • man this the shit! !it' STINK's it's so shit

  • biggie, with that beautiful flow,

  • BIGGIE

  • I get really amazed at people who r always mentioning Big L on Biggie and 2pac songs....Yes, Big L had dope punch lines, some of the dopest and nastiest ever...but he didnt sound right...his voice was a bit lightweight..and his rhyme schemes were too one dimensional...punchline after punchline is all good but it cant carry a whole album. Punchline rappers find it hard to make good albums, examples Jadakiss, Lloyd Banks, Cassidy...these guys always run out of ideas on their albums.

  • @trigpop22

nothing about bigL was lightweight you fucking ignoramus...

+cass, styles& jada don't have ANY problems making dope albums, they have problems getting the recognition they deserve... now get back to your lil wayne music vds& stop talking about the greats like you know..

  • what album is this off this

  • @tyson13844

  • Any of these guys murder those gayass mainstream niggas like eminem or lil wayne

  • @Ruffryders4lifez Eminems ill and even dblock recognizes that. Welcome to Dblock....They wouldnt put him on that specific track if they didnt respect him

lil waynes a clown and so are most rappers nowadays.

  • styles p way better than biggie, styles p the only rapper alive
