This is the song that got me into After The Burial, and I'm glad it did. They're on of the most influential, talented, and awesome bands in my music library - indeed, that I've heard. It's like you can tell they have visions. Other favorite songs of mine of theirs include: To Carry You Away, A Vicious Reforming of Feature, Your Troubles Will Cease and Fortune Will Smile Upon You, Cursing Akhenaten, and Promises Kept. But I wouldn't consider any songs from Rareform or In Dreams to be bad.

Tesseract is a great djent band. If I'm not mistaken, Frederik Thordendal of Meshuggah first coined the word in reference of music that utilized the "djent" effect.

@bmthRAWR96 not all bands mate, most hardcore local bands play refuse to go big, bcoz the local scene is there home scene, i know bands that have refused contracts with fairly big labels bcoz they love playing with there "brother bands" and playing to there fans(which turn up to every one of there gigs bcoz there all mates) for some bands, there goal isnt to make it big, it's to play shows, or even to make a song that at least one person will listen to. but your other point is valid! :)

Its helpful to have an extended range guitar that can be tuned low and a distortion with a lot of mid range frequencies turned up in the E.Q. This is style of playing is accompanied with off-time, poly-rhythmic, counter harmonic, octave heavy and progressive music, etc. Mårten Hagström first coined the term in 1996

@SquareWand I honestly don't think that After The Burial is Djent, because as far as I am concerned, they were around long before that term came to use for the most part. I think the genre is being mispercieved alot. I would categorize ATB as Technical Metal. Really, the only thing that resembles Djent is off timed riffs, which, if you look at in a general perspective. There are ALOT of bands that don't play in a standard 4/4 time. I wouldn't categorize them as Djent.
