Pete is the Canadian Steve Vai! I seen these guys live when they toured Canada! great show. they belong on a big stage. If they had come out in 85 instead of the 90's they would be playing arenas!
Pete Lesperance is a Van Halenish, Steve Vaish, Nuno Bettencourtish type of guitarist, very melodic. he uses a lot of major scale and pentatonic scales down the fretboard.. he also had an awesome voice and sings well..can't wait for him to record an instrumental album.. if only Vito Bratta would comeback to White Lion, another melodic van halenish type of guitarist that would be one hell of rockshow. . Harem Scarem is all about big heavy guitar riffs over melodic husky voices. Great Band

Sorry to comment but it's Reb Beach buddy...He's a former Winger (another great hair metal) guitarist that now teams up with former Whitesnake's David Coverdale...Anyways I do agree with all the people here...Let's keep this kind of music alive for the younger generation to hear and see!...I cant forgive myself if one day my child come's home and keep boasting on me that he came from a freakin' grunge band concert, because there's no more hair metal songs to hear and hair metal bands to see...
Why didn't this band get the advertising it deserved? How did they get overlooked? These guys are right on par with extreme, scorpions and even van halen. It's sad that canadian bands get the shaft regardless of their musicianship.
He can play it as when recorded... Actually I can as well but the fact is... Pete likes singing when playing so he performs for the band, not to be the ultimate guitar hero (but he is). Anyway, I saw this concert once and realized Pete used to play faster than now between songs and improvised a lot more than now...
don't think Harem Scarem really is one of those 'hair metal' bands. The real hair metal are Damn Yankees, Firehouse, Cinderella and Steelheart. Harem Scarem is anoter thing...
They are just as great as those ,legends
