Travis Rice Magne Traction

I rode a burton custom for 2 years and last april i bought a park pickle with banana and magne traction. Magne traction gives so much more grip in the park. Woulndt buy anything else again

just bought the T. Rice 2011 C2BTX 157. Anyone have a good binding recommendation for this board? Thinking Cartels or Union Force SL. Any opinions?

He's talking about magna traction (8 points of contact along the edge), and how it is much more stable on rough terain or Ice, not what kind of board YOU have, or how much YOU like POW, or how YOU THINK that you have snowboarding figured out. People who dare not try something new are stupid. I got a buddy with a GNU magnatraction board, he says its the best thing he's ever ridden BECAUSE of the magnatraction. I want one. too bad i'm to old to have my parents buy one for me (Like all the haters)

i love that he's talking about manga traction (amazing idea) and they're showing pow kickers. you dont need an edge in pow at all, magna traction is good for things like east coast parks, where half the trail is ice

lol, you dont need edge for pow, but the float ability on the lib tech makes it so you dont need to lean back when your on pow. so your practically floating on the pow.

He's one of my top favorite riders. What about him being a DC rider t=and DC making boards. I wonder if he's gonna switch to their boards, cuz their could surely be some problems between the two company and Rice riding for both of them and they both make boards.

well if you think about it, DC is owned by quiksilver, which also owns Mervin manufacturing, which owns Lib-tech, Gnu and Roxy. I don't think there would be any problems between them because the companies are related.

there is no way he would switch. he is too loyal to lib-tech in my opinion. Just listen to the interview. Furthermore, lib-tech treats their riders SOOOOOOOO well. If anything, he will switch boot companies, but frankly I don't think that'll happen. He's not hte only pro rocking DCs. Think of the others who ride w/ different board companies.

ya, that's probably true. But besides the sticker on his board, you wouldn't be able to tell that he rides DC boots. I've never seen anybody besides like him and mark landvick who rides for Lib-Tech

really smooth because your edges can be blunt and youl still grip on the slopes or ice but slide on rails. once youve had magne traction youl never go back.

I can't tell too big of a difference with the MTX, but then again I haven't been back on a regular edge since I bought the TRS MTX w/ banana for this past season. First time jibbing this season and I didn't get caught up on boardsliding anything, but I was only @ the Mt. Creek South Park. As far as holding traction, the board's a bit small for me so I think that had something to do with it.

before i got the MTX i didnt ride too much. then i went about 30 times in a season for about 2 years until my board needed to get fixed. i went back to my regular edge and it was way sketch. MTX i tops

holy dunkey dooo. I baught #60 out of the first 500 that were made and I will NEVER ride anything inferior to a basic MTX. Everytime I'm on the mountain with mu buds I make it maditory that they all try it once to see what level MTX can bring them. Boxes, rails anything!!! do not doubt!!

Next step is the banana skate for me! Long live Mervin & quiksilver!

yo i just got this board at the beginning of the season and i wouldn't ride anything else. it literally like he says turns ice into pow pow. all riders east or west coast should definitely try this board out. it shreds like no other board ever made.

yeah this board is simply amazing. if you catch the edge it catches hard but if you can ride decently well you shouldnt have any problem on it. but the edge does hold like a dream on ice and im never going to anything without magne traction.
