  • fucking little kids, Im still young and i know it'll fall in my age range, but IDGaF. Not everyone is a responsible gamer (as everyone knows) and most parents are fucking retard. thats why i believe it should be waaaay more regulated

  • @dabom12898 it SHOLDENT be regulated AT ALL

if the parent's are retard's and cant tell what they'r kid's are playing

ITS THEYR PROBLEM AND THEY SHOLD SOLVE IT THEMSELF'S

    DONT CENSORE GAMES!!!

  • @ieetmelon Maybe, but keep in mind most of the parents don't know what they are getting their kids. Hell, i tricked my dad into buying me RDR without a clue of what it was about. It was pretty damn easy too. I know that it should be "THEIR" problem, but remember it's OUR future.

  • I play a lot of Video Games on ps3,Xbox and I scored 97.6% in 8th and 95.1% in first term 9th Standered.

  • I play a

  • They did it with books claiming they were the devil's work. They did it with comics claiming it was the devil's work. They claimed it was dungeon and dragons that was the devil's work. They claimed it was TV and the Movies that was the devil's work.

Now the new scapegoat is video games.

Where are the parents? I think parents are the ultimate issue here stop the Nanny State!

I have played video games my whole life and never been in one altercation and I am not a very aggressive guy.

  • We should have rights to video games. Yeah some of them can be violent but it's not really going to affect us. And they already have sone restrictions on them anyway like having to be 18+ to buy rated M games. If they are going to but restrictions on games then books movies and otter things should have them too.

THANK YOU!!!!! IM AM SOO GLAD THAT IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS NOT JUST THIS ONE PART, BUT THAT WHAT SCHWARZENEGGER IS DOING IS WRONG

  • Anybody wearing Larry Flint's T-shirt: 'F..k this court'?

  • Damn and I liked Arnold. =/ This is so stupid. Im worried cause its occurring in the US.

It's ALWAYS better to do something bad IN A GAME, then real life. Think about that.

  • I hope more people show up next time. Gamers, Reviewers, Developers all unite. Time to stop the stupid console war and rally vs Schwarzenegger.

  • I am 47 years old. I believe that if they feel video games are too violent..then why not ban movies, tv shows and music. You can find violence in all these venues. You can not censor 1 and not the other.

It comes from parents and what they purchase or allow to purchase for their child.

I have been a gamer for many years. I do not like certain games, so I do not buy.

People or children committing violent crimes doesnt come from violent games, its mental illness or lack of direction!

  • Schwarzenegger's backing of Yee's violent game law is pissing me off so much I'm gonna go about getting Robocop vs The Terminator for either my Mega Drive, Super Nintendo or Game Gear...

  • I want to ask Schwarzenegger this why not censor and banned Terminator 2? Way more kids have seen Terminator 2 then ever played GTA4 why not ban it to? Then banned the rest of Schearzenegger good movies as well? Can someone name a good Schwarzenegger movie were he was not killing or hurting anyone?

  • @Se7enBeatleofDoom Kindergarten Cop

  • @santuel I said good movie and someone got shoot in it.

  • @santuel i think u will find there is violence in that movie, fr example, he sees the guy outside the school yard, he goes out and punches him one in the face in front of kids.....if my memory serves me correctly :)

  • THANK YOU LORD :)

  • Totally agree, love the sign that said "Been playing Grand Theft Auto since 2004... still haven't stolen a car". Also I know most people would be criticizing those two little kids but, after I saw this I figured, hey, it's not their fault they're younger, just cause they were born after us doesn't mean they aren't mature. I say it's really the parents problems, yes it violates the 14th amendment AND the 1st amendment, if a kid is mature in the mind, I don't mind them playing.

  • Gaming is a work of art and no one needs to destroy the work of art the gaming developers pore there hearts and souls into.

  • this is a serious issue! like they said, the biggest sales are made in the mature games, and ther has been no evidence that shows people going and casuing problems because of playing a videogame

  • Arnold Scharwzzie sucks. ITS OK FOR HIM TO MAKE VIOLENT MOVIES WITH KIDS IN THEM, BUT NOT OK FOR US TO PLAY VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES??? GET YOUR HEAD CHECKED ARNIE!! I think senality is settling in. used to love you, i have lost all respect for you now arnie. Kindergarten cop, terminator, twins, all violent, all with kids in them. What a joke. Next time i play terminator, im gonna place his face on one and let it rip :) I think he's running late for his funeral

  • @MrSquareyez i know! and all the people who claim we give video gamers a bad name! if they let this go through, many video games could get banned! how would pple like it if Final Fantasy got banned because ther are people fighting each other with swords?! it would be just plain stupid! and if this is bieng brought to a major judicial system like this, then it is a normal day problem or issue. so for those saying we only care about games, think again!

  • @DISSIDIAcosmos well, ive had the super nintendo, PSone,PS2, and now have the PS3 and a crazy arse PC :) so basically, been playing all sorts of games since about 18, now 34,big kid at heart :), most games cnsist of first or third person shooters, GTA's, i have no shot anyone, or stolen a car, or mugged anyone, or bashed anyone. So its bull what they say. Hope arnie loses,or Australia will feel this too!

  • @DISSIDIAcosmos most favourite game, is hard to tell u that one :) i think it would be the new medal of honor, and call of duty MW2, Gran Turismo5 is good. GTA liberty stories on my pc is kool. But favs would be MW2 and MOH :) just thougt you would like to know :)

  • Awesome job Area 5!

  • Ogbo Ngwu must be an acronym for something. No way in hell that's someone's name.

  • Excellent video hitting on key topics for us gamers. Wish I could have been there, would have been in my Master Chief costume and signs!

  • arnold was best portrayed in the simpsons movie, when he had to make a decision, he just guessed with the files.

  • @VVWEtitantrons dude. stfu. really? were not saying video games are more important that anything. we just love games and hate to see them put down because they are claimed to be bad.

  • @DISSIDIAcosmos Yes. Really.

  • There are two types of political issues: Those that affect the common citizen and those that affect the country as a whole. Who's to say that our own personal entertainment is usurped in magnitude by another damn war? It is incredibly tragic that people give up their lives for America every day and that the ocean is filled with oil from the BP tanker, but why does any of that matter to the common enthusiast? I respect the environment and life, but games affects me more in day to day proceedings.

  • @VVWEtitantrons This is a freedom of speech issue, A REAL ISSUE. If we don't have free speech in games, what will be censored next? Books? Movies? TV shows?

  • @VVWEtitantrons So sad.

  • @VVWEtitantrons them trying to take away our free speech in games, is just the beginning. If we dont stand up to this, where do we draw the line wth their censorship? They'd go hammer and tongs on us on everything they can censor. But, we all might have to just "obey" as they would like, as police state is coming into effect cause they have to much power.

  • @VVWEtitantrons

Ok first of all, the war on terror and the BP oil spill have no effect on my day to day life. Yes that stuff is horrible but at the end of the day i wake up each morning and they don't affect me. Second Censorship in gaming does effect me. If I wake up tomorrow and a law is passed and I can't run out and get that new hit game. That effects my life in some way, shape or form.

Second, we have just as much right to protest games as whatever you feel needs to be protested.

  • @xPreatorianx I stopped reading after "war on terror"

Didn't realize i was talking to someone who thinks people who lived in caves with box cutters where able to hijack 3 planes and hit 80% of their targets and were able to turn the planes in a way that even the most experienced pilot would have a very hard time doing.

  • @VVWEtitantrons

Thanks for the clarification on your stupidity. I never made any assumptions or expressed any opinion on whether or not there is a war on terror. I merely said it was horrible. That does not say whether or not I believe in "the war on terror". I could have meant the lies based upon the war on terror are horrible.

  • @xPreatorianx I merely used it as a "top" subject to identify with. I'm not here for conspiracy theories or this is good and that is bad. I'm here to show support for my rights to play a video game which has no outcome on my mental health. If you wanna single out words to spin your opinion that's fine. But don't take it out of my mouth.

  • @xPreatorianx Ah, in that case, you are awesome.

  • i have played vilont viedo games for most of my life and i have never killed somone

thank you ECA for protecting my right to play those games

  • @swiminbandgeek

Agreed I'm 20 years old and I have been playing Violent video games since Doom first came out for DOS. I have never killed someone, and in all honesty I've only gotten into three fights my whole life. I guess video games made me fight those people? Seriously though this censorship is bull. There are generations of gamer's who have grown up with violent video games and non of them have killed a single person. We have killed millions of pixels and polygons though :P.

  • @xPreatorianx

ya ive never even gotten into a fight im such a pathetic geek lol

as for killing pixels/plygoons ill bet im in the billions right now =P

  • that black kid's name is Ogbo Ngwu.

    wat.

  • Video Game's are Free Speech Hand's Down!

If We Deny That, We Deny The Same Thing For Book's, Movie's, T.V., And All Form's of Entertainment!

  • yeah! Adam!!

  • Darn, I should have spent my November 2 in Washington DC instead of in Philadelphia. I would have loved to be out there and support my fellow gamers in uniting against this horrible case.

  • Ah Vampire... that game was awful...

  • Because Terminator wasn't a bad influence on children. Cyborgs blowing shit up? GOOD! Games where things get blown up? HORRIBLE, BAD, DESPICABLE.

Seriously, Arnold, you're a hypocritical sell-out. Go fuck yourself.

  • i have been playing mortal combat since i was 4 and i have never ripped out a mans heart

  • Long live the gamers! We support the gamers!

  • fuck you arnold.

  • Hey, let me tell you something...I am an avid gamer and a developer, and since Ive heard of this suit, am now a FIRM supporter in the ECA...Iove the sign that reads, "GTA FAN SINCE 04 AND I HAVENT STOLEN A CAR YET."

Rock on, ECA...I love you guys!!!!!

  • @abukii hey cool, what studio are you apart of?

  • @LordVurtax I am with my own label but have worked with the likes of DK-Games, based out of France. Cheers!

  • The Mario guy with 'Don't censor me' is a legend XD

  • Gamers definitely Unite! Wish I was there to support my fellow gamers in this plan to get rid of this upcoming law. Games should be free to do what they please and not be based on what parents don't do for there kids.

Stop the this madness, freedom of speech is here to stay!!

  • @WOWRakwrath: It isn't over yet. SCOTUS hasn't made a decision yet.

  • Would black ops be around today if this bill to restrict been passed? Nope! im glad it didn't get passed and that I signed that petition! Fuck you Arnold schwartzinegger!

  • Support the 1st.

  • I hate u schwarzenegger.

  • free speech ftw

  • I've been playing violent video game since I was damn near in diapers, and it hasn't caused me to run out and do something stupid, because I seen a bunch of pixels do it. Hey Arnold, did you remember how you made so many violent movies in the past? And don't forget the most recent one...LoL...bunch of hypocrites, I agree with llinsane1ll

  • The ESRB is already pretty strict and is there for a reason. But a law against video games is against American principles of freedom.

  • Yeah, we should soooo ban violent video games! I mean, just the other day, I stole someones car and went on a joyride!!! I blame videogames!!

  • Woot!! Go ppls out for freedom of speech! GAMES FOR ALL!!!! YAYS!!!! *as you can see needs my daily games*

  • Video is so well put together! I'm really anxious to hear any argument against the first interviewer (Daniel Greenberg) who has the game and the book

  • Wow! Two thousand and ten gamers were a part of this rally?

  • Fuck you Arnold! Happy he's out of office even though we got another asshole, but not as big as Arnold, especially when he came out with some very violent movies for his time, fucking hypocrite!

  • I've Been Playing Grand Theft Auto since 2007.

And Never once did i think about stealing a car, robbing a bank, or beating up hookers!! :)

  • Glad there was a huge turn out for the people that were not able to be there themselves.

  • He made a paper video game?

  • @riry0ku A version of Dungeons and Dragons but with vampires.

  • J Allard? You've changed... again.

  • ECA! ECA! ECA! ECA!

    FREE SPEECH!

After the TERMINATOR, Schwarzenegger has absolutely no right to try and censor anything

  • Fuck Yee and Schwarzenegger!
