Some nice colour grading there - ya don't always appreciate what goes into it until ya see the before and after (unless of course yer a VFX artist or editor!) - what do ya use?
Magic Bullet? VCP's Film Magic Pro? Or just standard AE filters and colour correction?
I used a couple of different adjustment layers in AE along with some colour correction and levels to get that look I wanted. Colour correction is good fun!

I can't speak for the guys who made it but it looked like they used Action Movie Essentials from Video CoPilot (along with a couple of native After Effects bits)
blur, focus blur, spark lighting, particle world, color correction, everything you need, simply awesome!

The rain is two or three layers of 3D particles made in AE. :)
