Held my own with both, both from a dig, and to about 70-80mph. Now granted, i'll be realistic, both cars would definitely pull on my G with better drivers and once above 80-90mph, its no competition. But, that being said, the G still impresses with what you get for the money, its quick, and never seems to disappoint.

I had the Passport 8500 & that thing would go off when I beeped my horn or floored my car. It would even go off sometimes when I sprayed my windshield with washer fluid! Other than that, it was a great detector overall. I have a V1 now & gave the Passport to my brother. The V1 is the best detector I've owned to date, hands down. Nice race by the way LOL. I own both and have to say the G35 is faster the MS3 has a narrow power band and the tranny in the ms3 isnt the best thing in the world. However the vid had a bad driver in the ms3 and the gap shouldnt be that huge. The Ms3 should be at the back bumper of the G35 if drivers were equal!
To clear things up fast mazdaspeed 3 the redesigned VQ35 engine of the 2007 g35 has 307 hp and 270 lb. ft. and whamps on mazdaspeed 3's from a dig and a role all day. Since I happen to own one and ironically have a good friend with a 2006 mazdaspeed 3, I know from experience. Give it Up, its not a big deal.

well interestingly enough... my numbers were from car and driver too. I will say that there is some debate behind the two cars, but the most glaring differences are in their respected times in the fastest car tests of their price range. Also, i have always been a true believer of track speed being the overall determination. I will look for some numbers from track testing, which compare both handling capability, and overall speed. (the reason the M3 cosistenly beats out its competitors.
but i will stand by my statement... no way the ms3 beats a g... much like i would never say a g would beat a srt4, a 335, a lancer evo, or an is350. i would just be lying to myself and others if i said otherwise. I looked at about 5 dyno sheets of the same car as yours and the ms3 has dyno at 240-245 hp and 255-260 ft-lbs so you have 10-15 more hp and you have about 20-30 less tq you weight about 300 pounds more that should let you know somethings wrong somewhere. But anyway good race to both
Anyway the G35 is stock. It only has 19 inch wheels. No intake, no exhaust, no HFC, no ECU programming. The car sounds stock. Find a G35 that has all this mods and sounds this calm like the one in the video.
Remember the 2007 and up G Sedans have the VQ35HR, this engine puts out more power to the wheels than any other old G35 Sedan or old G35Coupe. I'm sure you guys have destroyed some old G35 Coupes and Sedans, and maybe some 350Z, but this car has as well.
We gave the Mazdaspeed 3 a lot of chances of proving itself against the 2007 G35 sedan. We had high hopes for the car, but apparently this one didn't keep up as well as we hoped. We ran plenty of times, changed drivers and even tried racing in the Speed 3's power band and it couldn't keep up.

'07+ G35 Sedans do not dyno the same as the Speed 3. The old sedan may have dynoed the same, but the new ones dyno about 255-260whp. This equals to about 315-320 hp, but the new SAE regulations HP drop to 306 for the 2007 G35 Sedans. Look up for the difference between the VQ35HR engine and the VQ35DE engine and you'll understand what happened in this video.

The G35 on this movie has 306hp vs. 263hp weights 3,500 lb. (the G is the base model) and the Speed 3 weights 3,163 lb. So that is a diference of 340 lb.
The G35 are doing 13.8-14.0 in the quarter mile, at 101-103 mph, now how can you say that a speed3 will win??? The top end in the Infiniti is way higher and as speed rises it will smoke the speed3. Thats the diference between a V6 and a 4 cylinder.
this G35 is definitely not stock. I have walked many G35 that are even modded. I dont care about the numbers. Fact is, that G35 was either not stock, or that MS3 driver was missing gears. I only have a CAI on my MS3, and I have been dead even with an Audi S4, no chance a hell a G35 will ever walk me.

i know what a 350z can do. they run with e46 m3's
the 350z hr should run a 1/4 of about 13.6 stock with a good driver. the best someone as managed in a bone stock MS3 was 13.8
but on a roll, from 2nd to about 130 the MS3 should beat the 350z then the vq's top in really kicks in and over takes the Ms3.
what you fail to realize is that the MS3 has 280tq and has full tq at 3000rpms.

I own both and have to say the G35 is faster the MS3 has a narrow power band and the tranny in the ms3 isnt the best thing in the world. However the vid had a bad driver in the ms3 and the gap shouldnt be that huge. The Ms3 should be at the back bumper of the G35 if drivers were equal!

To clear things up fast mazdaspeed 3 the redesigned VQ35 engine of the 2007 g35 has 307 hp and 270 lb. ft. and whamps on mazdaspeed 3's from a dig and a role all day. Since I happen to own one and ironically have a good friend with a 2006 mazdaspeed 3, I know from experience. Give it Up, its not a big deal.

Im back, I raced a 07 g35 last night with two friends with me just the driver in the g35. 480 pounds of extra weight and i still took him. So eather you have mods or theres something wrong with the ms3

well you can look at it two ways. 1). the whole sleeper thing is pretty cool and u'll know as soon as it passes what it was by looking at the badging (plus if you can hear the bov lol). or 2). why DOES it look the same?!
and yea...the 370 looks pretty sweet but i'm kinda wanting nissan to go back to their roots with the Z and change the look up to make it resemble the 240-280's. kinda like what they did with the mustangs. but hey...i'm biased lol

well interestingly enough... my numbers were from car and driver too. I will say that there is some debate behind the two cars, but the most glaring differences are in their respected times in the fastest car tests of their price range. Also, i have always been a true believer of track speed being the overall determination. I will look for some numbers from track testing, which compare both handling capability, and overall speed. (the reason the M3 cosistenly beats out its competitors.

but i will stand by my statement... no way the ms3 beats a g... much like i would never say a g would beat a srt4, a 335, a lancer evo, or an is350. i would just be lying to myself and others if i said otherwise. The fact of the matter is neither car has to worry about not going fast enough, the only real thing that kept me from getting the ms3 is the hatch back and the fact that infiniti has such a high residual. Love em both tho, as long it can beat those honda ricers, its ok in my book

I looked at about 5 dyno sheets of the same car as yours and the ms3 has dyno at 240-245 hp and 255-260 ft-lbs so you have 10-15 more hp and you have about 20-30 less tq you weight about 300 pounds more that should let you know somethings wrong somewhere. But anyway good race to both

Anyway the G35 is stock. It only has 19 inch wheels. No intake, no exhaust, no HFC, no ECU programming. The car sounds stock. Find a G35 that has all this mods and sounds this calm like the one in the video.
Remember the 2007 and up G Sedans have the VQ35HR, this engine puts out more power to the wheels than any other old G35 Sedan or old G35Coupe. I'm sure you guys have destroyed some old G35 Coupes and Sedans, and maybe some 350Z, but this car has as well.

We gave the Mazdaspeed 3 a lot of chances of proving itself against the 2007 G35 sedan. We had high hopes for the car, but apparently this one didn't keep up as well as we hoped. We ran plenty of times, changed drivers and even tried racing in the Speed 3's power band and it couldn't keep up.

like the video ms3 you need to have the car check or run the gas out and refill it somethings wrong these cars dyno about the same in hp and tq with the weight diff you should atleast keep up even if your not that good of a driver but on the street anything can happen so good take down G35 you mad it as far as possible and i am a ms3 owner so please dont acuse all ms3 owner of acting that way but i also own a 562 hp 92 mustang

'07+ G35 Sedans do not dyno the same as the Speed 3. The old sedan may have dynoed the same, but the new ones dyno about 255-260whp. This equals to about 315-320 hp, but the new SAE regulations HP drop to 306 for the 2007 G35 Sedans. Look up for the difference between the VQ35HR engine and the VQ35DE engine and you'll understand what happened in this video.

this is def bullshit i raced the same infiniti in my speed 3 n i raped it both off the line and on a 40 roll. n im only 16 and i was racing some old fucker. i even beat a 07 g35 coupe manual which is quicker than that sedan g35. on top of that ive beaten a 350 on a roll which is quicker than a g 35 cuz its a lil lighter.
n i think the coupe g 35 look nice but i hate ur stock g35 sedan they look ugly as shit

This is a 2007 G35 Sedan. It has the VQ35HR engine and this car in automatic form are dynoing 255-260 whp. The g35 Coupe has the VQ35DE engine which is dynoing 240whp. Don't you see the new '07+ G35 Sedans are much faster than the G35 Coupe. We get beaten by the G37 Coupe's but not by the old G35 Coupe.

The G35 on this movie has 306hp vs. 263hp weights 3,500 lb. (the G is the base model) and the Speed 3 weights 3,163 lb. So that is a diference of 340 lb.
The G35 are doing 13.8-14.0 in the quarter mile, at 101-103 mph, now how can you say that a speed3 will win??? The top end in the Infiniti is way higher and as speed rises it will smoke the speed3. Thats the diference between a V6 and a 4 cylinder.

this G35 is definitely not stock. I have walked many G35 that are even modded. I dont care about the numbers. Fact is, that G35 was either not stock, or that MS3 driver was missing gears. I only have a CAI on my MS3, and I have been dead even with an Audi S4, no chance a hell a G35 will ever walk me.
